  1. I've probably been on both ends of this discussion, although not intentionally to mess anyone around. I once had a ex-hubber mess me around for almost 2 months for an item i was selling, ended up giving it away to a mate On the plus side of the deals i have done i have had the chance to meet some really great folk that are behind the aliases.

  3. Jeez oke, please mark stuff like this as NSFW! Seriously stunning bikes, hope we could see some of their range locally one day.
  4. Popcorn time...
  5. Well Spotted, reckon with a bit of engineering you could use a spare "normal" axle and QR with these mounts as well.
  6. First thought was boating / camping places may have, depends on what you are trying to achieve.
  7. Bugger, when i get my lazy @ss back on the bike the 2015 series will have started.
  8. Did 2 of these in the summer months, been a bit chicken in winter though. I really enjoyed, sure you will have a blast. I'll be there from next month, :-)
  9. With all the news lately it looks like they should start an EPO race.....
  10. 455 - and worth every second, very cool, thanks for sharing
  11. Think I'll nominate him for the moderator post.....
  12. Ride 100M up a steep hill, horizontally (I.e. looking from the top down, :-) ) it may only look like you moved 10m across but you actually traveled 100m (with maybe 90m elevation gain)
  13. Not sure if it has been mentioned in detail, but changing the frequency / sample rate of the logging will definitely assist with a smoother curve and more accurate data, but GPS is only accurate horizontally (depending on the number of satellites its using for the positioning) to within a few meters, in the vertical plane the accuracy is anything from 10 to 20m, thus going up and down steep hills you will notice a substantial difference compared to a system that is measuring wheel rotations / distance. The newer devices that use barometric sensors are more accurate for vertical distance, assuming there is not a substantial change in the weather during the ride (riding into a storm etc) which is unlikely, and also that the unit calibrated the sensor correctly when it started up. Barometric sensors can also vary in accuracy but a typical Bosch BMP180 / 085 is accurate to +-1m depending on sample rates, settings etc. Another factor that will impact the accuracy is how the site uses the barometric and GPS data to determine the profile / distance traveled, there are a number of algorithms that they could be using.
  14. Looks like it was on sale in Mexico in Feb, the original ad has expired.
  15. Just wish CWC would take over (by brute force if needed) the distribution from Luxotica, their service is terrible, was was better when the guys in PE were doing it.
  16. Saw this today, looks like a good deal as an alternative to the GoPro: http://www.takealot.com/cameras/ion-air-pro-plus-full-hd-action-video-camera,31949535
  17. Nothing beats airpower
  18. MADNESS!!!
  19. I also like to add a thin shim between the pads and the disk, normally a shred of standard weight paper while holding the lever / tightening the caliper.
  20. Reckon he could've used this: http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--fcaEWxD_--/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_636/xslj8eabejmu4kaibm0j.gif

  22. I thought i was going bonkers, mine has done exactly the same thing, wonder if there is any chance of getting Luxotica or Oakley international to have a look and see if its a faultly coating? Spent almost 90GBP in the Covent Gardens shop 2 weeks ago on new lenses for my Flak Jackets where i managed to scratch a lens.
  23. I'm not trained and I ain't no Rambo either but in all 3 attempted hi-jack / smash n grab senarios so far i have had the "flight" reaction, first one was with a concealed weapon (coulve been a stick) = who knows, second one was looking down the steel barrel = extremely lucky, and the most recent time i could see both hands so got away with it "easily". I commend this guy for doing the sensible thing, unless you are in the situation i dont think any of us really know what we would do.
  24. Colonel Screetching Warlock - bit of a mouthfull
