  1. I'm no expert but I think it also depends how well/often you clean/replace the chain. It will differ from rider to rider, but I suppose there has to be a "more or less"
  2. Excellent good laugh, takes me bake to the back-paddel days on the farm in a dry riverbed
  3. 1hill, the company's name is Allganix, in Strand, yes the label says:" enduren sports salts" if you need a contact nr, let me know.
  4. I use sports salts from Enduren; Used the USN stuff as well, but thats a total waste of money...for me. Now I am on a homeopathic combination of calcium, sodium, potssium, iron phosphate. No cramping what so ever. Some of my friend are also on it now with possitive results. R75 for 300 tablets
  5. Must agree with you pops, my first bike was such a Schwinn. Mine came with sramx4, I replaced them twice, then switched to x9. The shifting on the x4 is not smooth and it is also not that responsive, needles to say how hard you must press the levers to get it to shift. I would rather spend the bucks on a second hand bike with better components.
  6. my "new" bike does not fit my holdfast rack, tubing oversize and square
  7. Rain - I think the Thule clip-on I had has not been sold yet. For 2 bikes and its lockable. It is with my brother in law, he is in Cape Town. Will have to make sure about the availablilty. I used it once. PM me your contact details if you are intrested.
  8. friend of mine is on his second trance, first one the weld joints cracked, seatpost clamp area, luckily it was still under warrenty so the gave him a brand new one
  9. good to hear u r feelin better MicHh and Dirt rider (i think) are comming up for the dash. DR is going solo and MicHh is riding with 4 amn team. me, I'm going with a 4man team as well for the first time. i believe its difficult, at least i am used to the height above the sea. the "koppies" are also rather long and not so small. Maybe we see you next year...
  10. hey Holy no need to worry...imagine how you would feel if you had to eat or drink only your favourate for 3 weeks, every meal of every day. needless to say you get fed-up. take a rest. try to 4get about the bike(s) for a few days. it will come right, if you are talking about the Desert dash, you will need your training tough, as you are going solo
  11. 'n landie wat nie olie lek nie... het nie olie in die enjin nie
  12. sias, hehehe, ek kan ook wydsbeen in 'n strooitjie afspring
  13. 1.78m tall 55kg body fat around 6%
  14. mon-goose, greatwhite: i agree as well, my bathroom scale only goes to 60kg's...never reached the 60kg mark i'm only 55kg. i can't loose anymore weight, so the grams have to come off the bike
  15. i also just want to confirm that not smoking(anymore) does wonders, especially on the climbs. as you might notice i'm not the biggest rider (1.8m tall 67kg, bike included) around, but i don't ride road, less flats here so, the bigger riders tend to suffer a bit more on the climbs that is.
  16. trispoke, the thule(9105/06) one i've got, the bikes are standing, on their wheels, at the angle of the "boot-lid", can't scratch 1skinnyman2007-09-25 09:23:10
  17. i had a thule as well, for a "bootless" car, no problems, don't thinck it is sold yet, bought a jetta, needless to say i had 2 fork out $$$ again for the holdfast-towbar-type.

  23. they are still being used here in Nam as well
  24. used the Hammer stuff on an event up here, yes its all good exceot for their "gu" (my opinion) only problem is that i cant get the stuff up here and its does not get the approval of my tastebuds. pricy like yoy say, ontop of what you pay, add 16% import VAT and you'll know what i have to pay....almost ridiculous.epic partner are on it
