  1. what did you shoot on before Chris?
  2. that was 10mm f6.3 1/500 the previous was 100 f5.6 1/320 both i feel could have had a slower shutter speed and say aperture of f7.1 or so and i should have 'tracked' the rider more.

  5. if you go the 50 f1.4 route look at the sigma version. i never really recommend sigma but do some research on it. apparently an awesome lens which almost outshines canons 50 f1.2L I just picked up a canon 50 1.4 at a good price, yet to use it tho. slightly off topic - finally got use of my canon 100-400 this weekend, wow when you get it right its pretty much tack sharp. very impressed so far with it
  6. been in a similar predicament twice in the last 3 years or so, and everytime i start gaining momentum on the photography side i get a worthwhile job offer, guess its just not my time yet
  7. lucky bugger, i can only dream, maybe one day haha cant warrant the risk at the moment. where are you based
  8. +100
  9. i must admit tho, i love the 8fps of my 7D, when i first got it tho it kept catching me unaware. but also in saying that, the only time i use it is for sport. altho it can be handy with energetic laaaities. if she is getting into weddings it might be in her best interest to get the 5D, but I have seen many photographers shoot on low end bodies with good lenses. trick is to make it look good no matter what. ouzo, you a tog fulltime?
  10. ahh okay learn something new everyday it must be an image thing
  11. only front brakes. is this a normal thing for SS i can only imagine seeing my ring with that setup haha
  12. the value of the lens will far out weigh that of the new body. go for the lenses. the body can come later. i know professional photographers still shooting on 350D's and the like. and they create some wonderful images
  13. every thief should carry around some 17/19 spanners,
  14. the sony range is great. i had one before an affirmative shopper helped themselves to it. now im flying the canon flag and found the sony far more intuitive at the start. loving my 7D now
  15. its so easy to break a lock its stupid. hardly a hindrance for theft, but anyway
  16. "MTB to Road and yes you guess it back to Road?" what does that mean?
  17. ride that wood mean going against the grain
  18. yeah im super keen, the time is right, just waiting for the right house and then to go beg the bank for a bond haha. always been a DIY guy so will be nice to have a house as a project
  19. durban has been holding one since last year sometime, posted it here and not one reply or any interest shown from hubbers
  20. yup im in the market for a house now... as much as i want a house i cant help but think how much of my 'fun' will be taken away when the lack of funds becomes apparent
  21. swell predictions have shown a drop in size compared to what was originally expected :/ bleak and its pretty dirty down the coast at the moment
  22. not sure.trying to convince my friends that bombing down some hills is far more fun than doing a 40+ km xc event might just hit it ace out tho. also depends on the surf conditions, hoping for some nice swell with this cyclone off mozams
  23. anyone riding it this weekend?
  24. color i dont think refers to colour as you see it, its merely the name of that option. just like you get the company kwikfit http://vodacomcolor.co.za/
