    Argus 2012

would have liked to do it again this year. last year was my first and cycled alongside my girlfriend, this time would have like to push for time. but alas its so expensive i could fund a good part of an overseas trip on what i spent doing it last year
  2. on a medium teocali, i guess i could be on a large, this does feel a little cramped at times, but i could make a few adjustments was on the cusp or medium/large measurements
  3. looks sick, pity the trailer isnt in 3d tho :/ was hoping to get a real feel for it on my tv when i got home
  4. more info here My link
  5. its rough going, and sani is steep. im not sure if anyone profiled our decent ill have a look. we met up with a guy at the top that had spent the better part of the day cycling up. there is some good trail there, but as suggested try get some routes. i would suggest a follow car if you have available or at least someone that can get into lesotho so you have backup if needed
  6. u need a passport. its basically flat till the sa border, u need a passport to pass that, then you get to the actual pass and head on up which is the real climb then at the top you have the lesotho border. i didnt climb it but i bombed down it in winter good fun, but ice/snow/mud is slippery i learnt and showed everyone behind me how to come chop
  7. haha every forum is the same. i merely added that in so i didnt get flamed for saying i think bmi is a load of hogwash
  8. well im sure if acted upon quick enough the damage to the persons car and lack of number plate will sort that out. at least it gives a possible lead rather than nothing at all
  9. hate the use of BMI for "healthy" measures especially in men. 2c if i followed that, when i was at my fittest, healthiest and strongest my BMI would have been too high. anyway, this topic is off topic. they asked how much you put on not which fad diet everyone is trying
  10. already a thread click above 2 cyclists knocked. both seem okay
  11. its prob obvious. but rest. tons of it and keep fluids up. lots of water to help flush toxins etc
  12. +1 rapid weight loss is never a good thing anyway
  13. useless debate... This is a topic that even comes up in motorcross etc... At least the mx guys admit its more skill than bike.
  14. would like to see where this goes. Even if ur hard on a bike it takes a lot to actually do this sort of damage. Id rather wreck my bike than myself and i havent had any breakages like this except on my checkers special bmx i started dirt jumping with

  16. i think its a *** video, only the landscape shots are half decent. it reminds me of music videos my friends used to put together for their garage bands when we were kids.

    Maxle axle

yeah got it sorted. a hammer fixes everything, needed some lube, another thing that works wonders when it comes to shafts in tight holes. clearly hadnt been greased in a while

    Maxle axle

hmmm i think it needs grease, i think its not sliding out how it should
  19. going riding in 40 min, and i cant get my front wheel off, first time i've had to replace tube. its got a 20mm maxle on a Pike 140mm shock. do i have to remove the disc brakes to get my wheel off? or am i missing some trick here? Thanks i feel rather stupid asking that
  20. no photos of nipples is pointless
  21. oh as for the website i think http://photo.geecee.co.za might still be up. But all those photos are from around 2 years ago i think, cant recall. I just havent had time to finish off the new website :/
  22. best thing is carry a 'car guard'/safety bib with you and get media printed on it... Then u'll see where you can get haha. Motorsport sa requires you to pay a hefty fee and get approved to get any sort of media accreditation. Big politics over it, seems there are a few people protecting a select few photographers in that whole organisation. I was shooting at around f8 with shutter at about 250/320 if i remember correctly. Iso 100. But its not easy to get the bike sharp and in focus. I have the advtantage of 8fps on my 7d
