  2. potatoes and banana are no no's for long lasting energy, generally give you a spike and then a crash. low gi is the way to go
  3. hope the weather is ***, im not riding this year haha all the best, long range is looking good so far, but we all know how reliable that is
  4. have you priced getting the shocks serviced and replacing worn components?
  5. not sure there is a freestyle ramp at highstakes now in cato ridge, so maybe they have been doing some practice there. not sure if there is a huge following of freestyle guys here in durbs. most of the guys are jhb based as far as i know
  6. haha well said... but there will always be advantages and disadvantages. i doubt we will see a huge influx of 29ers on the downhill course. and a 1d is actually a crop sensor too, being 1.3x so technically only people that shoot with 5D's would be pro according to your logic
  7. start eating meat on a serious note i googled vegetarian athletes once and it had a wealth of information regarding diet and recipes, maybe give it a shot
  8. dealer section perhaps and this goes for other areas in the forum too, perhaps a dealers section would be nice, people like asg always have news to add, maybe a dedicated section ? throwing it out there
  9. mio has one but not sure of local supplier
  10. cool ill stick to blue then. might even end up doing some peddling for a change
  11. im picturing a nice berm into longer table, but im guessing some people might moan haha. i have yet to even look at the DH route, i think i should take a slow cruise down it this weekend if i make it there. anything obvious i should look out for?
  12. ideas are coming to mind, keep us informed when you have a build day, i got no issues pulling in and throwing sand around if im not working
  13. haha we shall see... giba this weekend, some nice switchbacks and a few jumps 29 vs 26 at its best
  14. nige...whats the plans for when that jump is removed there? a nice big berm ?

  21. some awesome photos coming out
  22. +1 i got told to take the 'shortcut' walk up to the top of blue route. i was stuffed by the time i got there haha no shuttle available and with only 2 of us there there was little point in driving up
  23. now now kids. i think clint just says dont build jumps into every downhill section. one trail is enough. im very glad some jumps were added to this particular trail as it suits it. im sure in time more trails will be developed that can the cater for more specific needs
  24. im a jumper. my friend however is not, but he managed to get through without airing anything and loved it, whereas i aired everything and cleared all, over cleared a few. following each other at same speed. in saying that, i would really love a nice long fast flowy downhill, nice berms etc winding its way down the trail
  25. hahaha so i was right in saying i wouldnt take head and hit it full pace. maybe should just get someone to throw a temp caution sign up there for now, thanfully no major issues, a bit of moaning and then a good chuckle afterwards and all was well
