although I enjoyed this race last year, I am sorry I entered for this one. Safety has become a huge concern - potholes everywhere .

I had a lovely day in the saddle here in the beautiful George area. Coming up Montegu pass yesterday was every bit as challenging as going down the pass today But I just could not help thinking about what I was missing out on that side. Nancy count me in for next time.

luckily no muscle damage, but the wound on the knee is deep. After Nancy's dad helped me cleaned it and after a painfull shower, later at home, I still found some grains of sand in there. Looks like it will take some time to heal. Zoo Cookie2009-12-13 14:58:16

yes, it was on one of those rough sections - going down to the shebeen -I bought myself a piece of the land - paid for in blood. my level of skill and confidence just not what it should be, yet.

i've heard George has not seen much rain lately. But I shall go there anyway.
