I import allot of stuff via Ali. Like Micheal mention, stuff is been handled via Speedaf and Meili couriers, SARS on there case because they disclose the custom cost. But the shipment is fast, especially with the fight going on in the east, allot of flights isn't going via Dubai but direct flight. We had KLM heavy landing at FACT this week to drop of Cargo. I bought a ThinkRide powermeter last month from Ali and I can't complain. All and all with customs and stuff it was about 2950.

Why don't you get a extra wheel set, like a 40mm or 50mm carbon profile wheel with 28mm or 32mm road tire, then you can swap between your gravel wheel set and road wheel set? Spotted some guys are doing it and planning to go this way to when I get a Gravel frame to build up, then I got a bike that can 2 things.

The problem with Alixpress is, it comes via imile/Meili and they shafting us in SA because they asking higher import custom price and don't inform at what rate and for what under what code. I mailed them to give me invoice but no responds. I still need to mail them and CC SARS and Consumer Protection department in my mail to see if they will respinds. There is some info ona MBB where people took imile/meili on and complaining and reporting them at SARS. Few years ago I imported some cycling clothing via Aliexpress that came via Sapo and that went really smooth, just waiting game.
