  1. How are the hands and wrists doing? That rigid must have hurt more than a little.....
  2. Well done on not giving up! 7h30 is a bloody long day on the bike, in those conditions!
  3. 75....you can dooooo iiiiitt
  4. Another thing I am eternally thankful for is my wheelset. ZTR Flows and Nobby Nics saved my ass on numerous occassions, especially when I was too knackered to pick a line.
  5. Ouch, I think I passed that guy. Felt bad for him. I wonder if he made his bike SS and finished?
  6. What a race, what a ride. Painful at times, amazing at others. Best race I have ever done, hands down. The cramps were nipping at my heels from 48km onwards, luckily I kept them at bay....I feel terrible for those who cramped, been there, done that and I know nothing helps. And a lekker social gathering after! I'll be back next year on my SS for more punishment. Well done to all who started this race - it ended prematurely for some, but that's MTBing in Africa - where the men are men and the rocks are Monsters.
  7. Too pretty to ride!
  8. Shimano components have NO place on a Colnago.....
  9. At least there'll be 2 white On-Ones at this race. Good to see I'm not the only dumbass on a SS......
  10. Of course he's lying. We all know where he ate brekkie this morning. Carbo-loading on some super-pastries I'm sure!
  11. That looks FAASSTT
  12. We're gonna sleep well tomorrow night, that's for sure!
  13. Now that's a dual sus I'd ride.
  14. When can we expect our loyal police service to start implementing this kind of pro-active strategy? Oh wait, we're in Souf Efrika.
  15. It's gonna be my 100th ride for 2013. Thanks for the prezzie JC:
  16. 32x19 it is for me too....I just wanna finish with a smile and not die out there. Enjoying the post-ride beer is more important than the finishing time....
  17. I did my normal commute to work this morning, my first ride in 10 days after battling some flu and sinusitis. All systems go! Bring on the Monster!
  18. Yup, and this is why there are always so many bottlenecks on these Nissan races. Personally, this is one reason I'm doing the 'Monster instead.
  19. How hard is it to get it right though. Isn't that why we have a seeding index? Just use that database to determine the race seeding.
  20. #here-we-go-again
  21. 3 more sleeps guys! The Monster is almost upon us!
