  1. I used a 26'er saddle on my 29'er bike.... am I doomed???
  2. If you have some sort of base fitness, like you're a runner, you should be fine. Otherwise, it'll be a long day indeed. I'd recommend riding up to Bergplaas, have a few hours sleep there, and then about 4-5am or so head to the finish.
  3. No it won't, but I'm sure the rain isn't limited to PE alone, its all the way to Mosselbay. And even if it rains in the Loerie / Hankey / Patensie area, it'll cause issues I think, especially with the original run-up to Never Ender. And those towns are maybe 40-50km away - surely it rained there to.
  4. Rains all the way from Mosselbay and currently bucketing in PE (again). Just when proper Baviaans seems like an option, it rains again. It'll probably be Langs Baviaans again this year.
  5. I know you were sick, but sick enough to have to drop out? Just have a jol and funride it?
  6. Ek gaan nog gooi tot die maandag voor die race, en dan daai week net kort rides doen, soos 20km.
  7. Those eyes have seen it all. Unless its miltary issue, they are wearing the same watch. Same guy.
  8. That's the kind of oke I'd trust with my life.

  10. Looks wise, the Trek takes it.
  11. BB30 or BSA. Mine is BB30.
  12. This might help you greatly... Converts a 2 wheeler to a 3 wheeler... http://specialneedsbicycle.com/
  13. There are Chinarellos that look 2x better than that, and would seem a whole lot more aero.
  14. Just like Burger King... have it your way. They can give you whatever weave you want (3K, 12K, UD), in either shiny clear coat like mine, or matt finish. Yep, that's my frame. It is currently sleeping in our daughter's spare cot

    SRAM XX1 2013.

That chainring on the crankset is butt-ugly.
  16. How is popping wheels in, rebuilding the bike?
  17. Ja, but its really not a problem.
  18. Here's my setup at home. We've got a duplex with not allot of space. The "cube" where the staircase comes up can't really be used for anything, so we did this. I can fit about 6 bikes into a 1.2m x 1.5m space. Only 4 bikes in the photos, but space for 2 more. Some wheels we store in here as well, others in another cupboard.
  19. I know a friend with 2 Chinarello road bikes, super happy with them. Also another mate with a Pinarello Dogma clone (Chinarello + decals), super happy. Aaaad another mate with a MTB, also very happy. Mine at at home, as I've mentioned many times. Getting built up next week (MTB).
  20. I find it funny how you say the Chinarellos aren't established brands... when 95% of all carbon frames are Chinarellos with an "international brand" sprayjob on. I have spoke to two Chinese factories. They do their own inhouse testing of frames, which gets certified (EN Standard), and they also have to send frames to their equivalent of our SABS.
  21. Usually 2 years on frames. I dealt with them directly. They are SUPER keen on business and making sure you are happy. Friend of mine kicked his TT frame because he got pissed off with something - and the chainstay broke. He spun a story (I know, I know), and they sent him a new one the next day. The mission is to find someone that speaks English good, and then you stick with them.
  22. Here's my Chinarello in UD Carbon. 29er though. The UD/Marble finish is awesome.
  23. Issit? I'd rather buy two Chimomsens and have R2k left.
  24. My unbranded chinese frame is a home, waiting or two last parts...
