  1. I’m with you. The number of times she says something and then moments later totally contradicts what she said is unreal
  2. DStv and supersport cutting the footage short and missing the podium presentation… wow I cannot tell you how miff I am!
  3. Well that’s rude - I’m 171cm 😜 maybe a 30.5 inch?
  4. i always tell everyone who enquires to: money talks, if you really want it pay. if you need more time to decide, thats ok, but first to pay takes it. its a risk the buyer takes. i don't hold for anyone unless i personally know them - to many tire kickers.
  5. These: 940g for the set 50mm deep 25mm inner rim God tier wheels And on that, if anyone wants a set PM me
  6. Apparently another ride got clipped today by a truck on Victoria drive. he fell and is ok. the truck also stopped.
  7. Parker Taos is slack, slick, comfortable and has a high stack height
  8. i've owned all the garmin pedials the first one with the pods, the seconds gen with the battery door issue, and now the rally pedals. support is excellent. both the first and second gen failed on me and were replaced with new sets of pedals each time. the rally have been bulletproof so far. my only gripe with the garmin pedals is the inability to service them yourself - if the bearings go, you have to send them in to garmin to do them bearings at considerable cost.
  9. i got a deal during chrismas/black friday - was 100EUR cheaper direct from Favero the new dual sided road pedals AND the XC mtb pedal bodies. total including taxes was R14823.10 shipping was dealt with through Fedex and they handled the taxes etc - they have a portal to pay the taxes. super easy. and really chuffed with the pedals.
  10. I had knee pain. It had me stop on the side of the road once. I spend tons of time sitting in front of my desk for work. It tightened up my hips. i started focusing on stretching out my hips each night and the pain vanished. tight muscles is often overlooked and usually a large reason for knee pain
  11. Some cool bikes here thought I’d share my dads SS he won his age category on it last Cape Town cycle tour
  12. Love mine, it’s lovely not having to worry about when your Garmin is going to stop working.
  13. Sort of, numbers are being recycled these days. you might get the previous owners details
  14. Seeing as this is basically a Wilier thread WIN a Wilier with ProTouch
  15. We have 2 on order. One for a customer. One for me. Steel gives the best ride quality
  16. I spy with my little eye... a new steelnovo! Colnago Steelnovo
  17. 54mm
  18. Thanks for sharing! I lent my MOG to my ole man who removed the ENVE cages and replaced with Elite cages similar to these for use at Worlds and Gravel Burn. One of the pros also shared a nice racing tip - loop a hair elastic (or an elastic band) around the end of the bottle cage, then simply loop that over the spout of the bottle for added protection.
  19. Now to give the bike a clean and get it ready for a little photoshoot 😃 A side note: i'm still not entirely convinced on deep profile rims on a gravel bike, a deep rim plus a big tire = a truly massive amount of real estate for wind to get a hold on. take a look at the Miche vs a Princeton Grit Evo and Syncros Capital SL - its deeper than both of them with a 28mm tire on them. In the Cape both the road wheels are ok on windy days - time will tell if the Miche rim with the massive rubber grabs the wind badly or not. Granted the fat tire adds plenty rotational weight vs a road tire so it may well counteract the wind effect.
  20. Last image is the final weight. Weigh includes 85grams of sealant in each tire. Excludes the bottle cages, GPS mount and pedals. Not bad at all considering the massive tires! and bang on the same weight as my ENVE MOG. PS the bar tape and plug arebalanced on the bike just out of picture. Take 5grams off for wastage when fitting the tape.
  21. Pro Touch threw in some quality bottles - they look like they have a very small amount of thermal protection. looking forward to giving these a go Bleeding of brakes - a tiresome affair. i've found tilting the bike to this upright position really helps get the perfect bleed done. excuse my string hack - it keeps the bars from swivelling around and smacking the top tube Finally a small but beautiful touch from Willier. The bar tape matches to the front fork. which really give a very well polished final product.
  22. Fitted a road wheel with 33mm tires on for fun. hows this for clearance! Then fitted the Miche Wheels coupled with the 2.2 Conti Race Kings. really good clearance at the seat tube and seat stays. 4-5mm clearance on either side at the chain stays. in the pictures it looks close, i measured it at 4-5mm.
  23. Had a fun weekend building this bike First some cable threading. I can tell you this is one of the best frameset and bars i've come across - really top notch. not a single bit of excess carbon or flaking bits inside the frame or the bars to be found, which is really such a treat. getting the cables routed took all of a few moments. I've build some high end bikes and spent ages getting the routing done due to the inside of the bars or frame being a carbon nightmare. Its refreshing to come across a frameset and bars as well built as this. Very impressed with Williers build quality here.
