  1. Apologies, this is a bit of an oversight on our side. You shouldn't be seeing any banner ads, however the main header element on the home page will contain advertising content when we're running a home page take over like with Kia. I'll put in a dev request to tie this in with your Plus "hide all ads" preference so you can truly hide all ads. To confirm, you are still seeing the header ad (green arrow), but not the banner below (red arrow)?
  2. As a Plus subscriber you can hide all banner ads if you prefer via your settings: https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/settings
  3. Turn off your ad blocker and it'll work just fine ???? Here's the direct link.
  4. Apologies to all. We had some server hiccups this morning, unrelated to the update, but now resolved.
  5. If you save a custom stream & set it as your default it will update the smaller "Active Content" link to the right of the breadcrumbs. So clicking on there should take you to your custom stream. Will see if it's possible for other "Active Topics" menu links to go to the user default stream.
  6. Thanks for reporting, should be resolved in the next 5 mins.
  7. That's why we're cautious about how it's implemented, if at all. There's merit in acknowledging those who post helpful, quality content, however if poorly executed it can quickly turn into a "how many likes can I get with this post" scenario. That's not behaviour we're keen to encourage.
  8. We'll look into that. Thanks for reporting. This is a feature we admittedly haven't delved into in much detail yet. The new version comes with a full leaderboard that can be set up to highlight members who receive the most positive reactions to posts in a given period, e.g. day, month, all time. For now it has been disabled, but we'll consider how this could work in the Bike Hub context in future.
  9. It's still here, but now shows in the posts feed below the first post like on mobile: It also only displays on topics with 3+ pages.
  10. We're testing out a slightly different approach on desktop which matches how mobile functions with the Recent posts at the bottom of the page below the last post. It should mean less scrolling after reading the last post in the topic not having to go all the way back up to the top see the other active topics. It also means the posts are full width which should help those who've found things a bit narrow.
  11. We've had an initial look at it, but are still awaiting completion of certain background tasks which should complete today to mean the new site is fully functional (mainly search and general response times that are currently an issue). Tapatalk support for the version of the forum software we're now running is limited. We'll need to fully test it and investigate reports of security issues related to the plugin before we consider rolling out on Bike Hub. Although we understand it's a useful tool for many users, we won't activate any 3rd party modifications that could introduce a security risk for user data or generally impact the performance of the site.
  12. Do you mean this one for the Merida NinetySix? That's unrelated to the site update, but more likely an ad blocker in your browser blocking the link. Here it is: https://www.merida-bikes.com/en/p/product-news-bikes/the-new-ninety-six-461.html?utm_source=bikehub.co.za&utm_medium=homepage_header&utm_campaign=IO551_bikehub
  13. That's for reporting, that's a definite bug. We'll add it to the list to resolve soonest.
  14. Apologies for missing your earlier question. If you click on the "My Forum Content" link under the user menu you'll go to a page showing all topics you've participated in ordered by most recent reply. https://forum.bikehub.co.za/discover/content-posted/
  15. On mobile you’ll have to go into the Forum Settings via the user menu to manage ignored users.
  16. The Ctrl + Click issue is something we're investigating and hope to have resolved soon. With regards to the navigation struggles, is that on a desktop or mobile device? Similar to above, is your feedback based on desktop or mobile use? Could you provide an example of a navigation path you're now struggling with that was better/easier before?
  17. We've updated the Active Topics view (linked via the menu) to match the default on the old forum: https://forum.bikehub.co.za/discover/active As Frosty says below you can also create your own stream by customising the above and saving as your default: Choose your options: Save as your default Access your custom stream via this link
  18. All your snitch tagging awoke some demons ???? In seriousness though, the post recount is an unavoidable side effect of the content rebuild process as part of the upgrade. Consider @Nick's post a polite warning rather than an act of war.
  19. Not yet unfortunately. We’ve still got some critical rebuild and reindex processes on the go in the background. Once the new site is fully operational and stable we get to 3rd party add-ons like Tapatalk but I’d expect that will only next week.
  20. Seemed to work ???? Does that mean the upload issue you reported earlier is resolved?
  21. Great stuff, thanks for the feedback.
  22. Hello Hubbers, On Tuesday 11 May we’ll be performing some site maintenance to complete a major update to the forum platform. This will result in limited availability of certain features and periods of down time between 16h00 on Tuesday 11 May 2021 and 06h00 on Wednesday 12 May 2021. Impacted areas include: Forums Events Articles These sections may be partially or completely unavailable during the maintenance window, however all Classifieds functionality will be unaffected. Our apologies in advance for the downtime and any inconvenience it causes. As most Hubbers will attest to, these updates are long overdue to bring the forum feature set in line with 2021 expectations. Regards, Bike Hub Team
  23. @Shawn, sorry to hear of the loss! Was this someone who contacted you via Bike Hub? If so please let us know so that we can take action to ban the account & share any relevant information we have with SAPS.
  24. I've been cruising around on the drop bar version for the last few weeks on a mix of commutes, road rides and gravel outings. After hearing the story & about the bike and price point from the Dark Horse team I jumped at the chance to give it a test ride. More to follow in a review soon, but I'll unashamedly say that button & the extra watts helped me keep up on a few hills on a regular roadie morning loop.
  25. Was this in response to an advert on Bike Hub?
