  1. That's the total value of items listed since 1 January 2019. We don't have data on what % of that figure is actual sales, but from past surveys we'd expect it to be 40-60% of that amount.
  2. The 2019 numbers are in: https://community.bikehub.co.za/features/_/news/industry-news/bike-hub-2019-year-in-review-r8028
  3. You can still do this via the main search bar. Just enter the brand/model name there and hit search. This will search for ads matching that text within the current category and will retain any existing filters, e.g. location, price, wheel size, etc.
  4. We have heard you and the others who've requested "All Road/MTB" views. It is in the feature pipeline and should roll out in mid Jan. Read replies on Chat messages are on the to-do list. I've had a look at the Chat scroll on Chrome 78 & Windows 10. There there is a bug with the scrollbars themselves not displaying correctly, however the scroll function does work using a mouse wheel or keyboard up/down/pageup/pagedown after you click in the chat message area. If you're hitting a different issue or still can't scroll please get in touch via help@bikehub.co.za or the "Contact Support" link in the footer. Thanks for the feedback
  5. No, not at this stage. For the purposes of protecting the community from potential scams or bad deals we'd rather users report the suspicious content for review/removal. While comments were helpful in this area, the best solution is to remove the content and ban the user. Very often we found numerous comments on a dodgy ad but had no reports and as a result a problematic ad was live for hours or even days before we were alerted to it. We will explore an idea to empower a limited group of users aka "classifieds moderators" to flag an advert for review. The thinking would be to allow such users to temporarily remove an advert from listings pending review by our team in certain circumstances. But, we need to fine tune the thinking and execution of this.
  6. Thanks for reporting these! We're blocked a number of profiles created by the same person in the last 12 hours or so. We're currently working on solutions to stop them.
  7. This one? It's the equivalent to the "Like this" button on desktop. It's been that way for many years now and not the most intuitive, but with a forum software update due in the early part of 2020 there will be more consistency between the desktop and mobile versions of the forum section.
  8. Thanks for the feedback, we've got both issues on the to-do list. Will push to have these resolved this week.
  9. We've got an update in the pipeline to address the new line issue, agree it is annoying as-is! Is there anything else you're struggling with on Chat?
  10. We're working on a number of improvements to navigation which will be live next week. Are there particular things you miss or don't like on the new layout?
  11. Ok thanks for the feedback. For now that is the expected behaviour, however we are working on a single sign on feature which we're aiming to have live next week to prevent this.
  12. It's admittedly a bit vague and inconsistent at present, but there is a Search icon to the right of the menu which opens up the search bar on the forum sections. We are refining this.
  13. That's on the to-do list, for now just drop us a note with a link to the profile/username via help@bikehub.co.za or hit the Contact Support link in the footer.
  14. This issue should be solved by clearing out cookies for bikehub.co.za on your browser. You'll need to log in once more, but from then on won't have to continually log in.
  15. We'll test this now, it should be working fine in the recent MS Edge versions. It is there, under Components > Drivetrain > Complete Groupsets https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/c/complete-groupsets We are releasing an updated menu soon which will give you quicker access to and visibility of lower level categories.
  16. Thanks, that is the expected behaviour (at least for now - we do plan to have a single sign on).
  17. Just to make sure we're on the same page, when you say "double logging in" do you mean: 1) At first login you have to login once on Home/Classifieds and again on Forums. But thereafter remain logged in on both sections. 2) At first login you have to login once on Home/Classifieds and again on Forums. And thereafter have to keep logging in again on one or both sections. (if so, which sections require repeated logins?)
  18. Unfortunately for the moment you will need to login separately, although the account details should be the same on each. We will look at options to make this a more seamless experience with a single login.
  19. You may be asked to login separately on Home/Classifieds and then again on Forums, BUT you once logged in you shouldn't need to login again until you log out / clear cookies. Are you having to login repeatedly on the forums within the same browsing session?
  20. Unfortunately there will be a transition period where things are going to feel a little disjointed, partly due to needing to "flush out" old data/communication channels and while we address any bugs or other issues. There are two issues here which may at least help to clarify the why: PM vs. Chat As from 2 December, any new "PM" conversation initiated from a Classified advert page uses the new Chat platform. Although Chat is the primary on platform messenger for classifieds going forward, the PM function remains active, both to ensure any ongoing conversations related to Classifieds can continue (or be accessed for reference), and as a forum-based messenger tool. Once any current classifieds related conversations on the PM system are concluded, the PM system will remain solely within the forums. Message contents in email notifications We will add the message to the email soon. This was removed as we previously found many people simply responded to the email expecting it to reach the sender but only hitting an email server black hole leaving a conversation potentially hanging. In future we plan to support direct email replies to Chat notifications, but until then we will include the message in the email with a STRONG prompt to reply online, not via email.
  21. Chrome shouldn't be an issue. Could you send the link generated by this page to help@bikehub.co.za - from there we can check your specific browser version and settings to see what the issue might be. https://www.whatsmybrowser.org/
  22. There have been a few reports of this. Clearing cookies for bikehub.co.za in your browser and logging in again seems to resolve it.
  23. This is on our feature roadmap, but for the time being we'll clean up any irrelevant ads. Are you having to login in specific sections only? i.e. just Classifieds or just Forums? Thanks for the feedback, we do have member search on the to-do list. For the time being here is a direct link to Member search.
  24. DieselInDust reported similar issues. This is what helped in his case: This sounds like it could be related to cached files from the old site causing issues. Clearing our your browsers downloaded files should do the trick (you can leave cookies intact, just clear images and files). Otherwise try pressing Ctrl + F5 on Windows or CMD + R on Mac to force a full refresh.
  25. Are you referring to Chat messages regarding Classified ads or PMs (i.e. the usual PMs on the forums/old classifieds)? Thanks for the feedback. We have acknowledged the shortcomings on the navigation and through he course of this week will be releasing some updates to address some of the issues raised. For example an expanded drop down menu on Desktop & Mobile will reduce the clicks required to get to where you you want to go. And updated filtering will offer easier filtering between road/MTB components. Along with the expanded Classifieds menu you'll see a new forum menu this week, including a quick link to Chit Chat For most products where size is a factor (e.g. bikes) it is a mandatory field. Although it's not displayed on ad listings, you can filter the list based on size in a given category, e.g. Road bikes: https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/c/road-bikes The new login pages will default to "Remember me" mode. Most of the web does these days doesn't offer the Remember Me tick box but will keep you logged in until you log out. If it's not doing so there might be some conflicting cookies. I'd suggest clearing out browser cookies for bikehub.co.za and logging in again. That should resolve it, but if it continues please let us know either here or hit the 'Contact support' link in the footer.
