  1. I think that I have one for you. Let me check. If it hasn't perished, you can have it
  2. There was a wonderful article written in the Bridgestone Bicycle Catalogue about how to ask for sponsorship. I’ll see if I can find it and send it to you
  3. ☝🏻hope that’s helpful?
  4. It might be worth a discussion with your SAPS to say “I can’t open a case of theft….however, I would like to contribute (if possible) in adding evidence for other cases (if they exist) against the person in question?
  5. Morning. Fantastic news about the refund of your money. If you do approach SAPS, what outcome would you like? Can it be considered fraud/theft if the money was returned?
  6. “Got over” what exactly?
  7. Kim Welsh was the person to talk to about LAKE, but I don’t have her contact information anymore. Hope someone can help
  8. Hi Everyone 2 quick questions; 1. What is the seat post diameter for an Alpina Frame? I assume it's something in the 26.x range? 2. Does anyone have a seat post clamp pin? I need the pin with a tab that will fit into the frame clamp notch. Thanks in advance.
  9. Thanks, very helpful comment
  10. With the greatest respect to all parties involved, the law clearly states that.... "Subject to section 16(1) of the Council’s Public Open Spaces By-laws, published under Notice 831 in Provincial Gazette Extraordinary No. 179 dated 21 May 2004, no person may permit any dog to be in a public place unless it is kept on a leash and under control of a person." Mr Warren Knocker (dog owner), why was your pup not on a leash as required of you? Surely if this was the first public outing with the pup, he should have been on a leach for his own safety. You only have yourself to blame. Mr cyclist(s), while I don't know your side of the story, it sounds like a totally spineless move to injure an animal and not to stop to assess the situation. Don't be a bunt!!! I really hope you step up and apologies.
  11. Champion. Thank you for this link! :-)
  12. Gosh, when Antra Cycles had such a good catalogue of brands.
  13. Can't remember the race (may have been nationals in PMB). Year 1992, I think.
  14. I think the whole Monster CX/Gravel is beyond stupid and hopefully the trend will die out. Putting + sized tyres on a CX/Gravel frame is trying to create something different that doesn't need creating. If you want to create a differentiator, give us practical value (i.e. Steel HardTail Trail Frame at a great price), and not some wank gravel frame that takes + sized tyres. I'd love to see the ability to take 27x2.6 tyres and a 150mm fork.
  15. Please kill the SS version. Please can we have a dedicated 650B version. Please can we have a 65,5 - 68,5 degree Please look at combining sizes. S/M, M/L, L/XL Please give space for 27x2.6 Please look at some palatable colour schemes. As mentioned, single colour ways care very understated. Or offer a custom paint option? No offence, but Momsen Bikes have been some of the ugliest on the market for years now. Please keep pricing at or around 7K (if possible). Please use only threaded BB Please give default routing for a dropper post. Please make it through-axle at the rear Please can we have external headset cups.
  16. Found it https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5428033/
  17. I'll have a look and see if I can find it again. I can't remember the key words I searched for.
  18. Cool. Look forward to it. I did a search last night and found a paper that was beyond my comprehension. I couldn't work out if the water was causing more wear or less wear or both (depending on the pressure the water was put under).
  19. It actually makes a huge difference what medium the abrasive material is held/suspended in and just as importantly, the pressure that those abrasives are under. Dirt particles, in foam rings that are well lubricated, have little to almost no force put on them that would cause them to push on the stanchions and cause wear to the extent that certain damage is being blamed. Sure, there is some contact and some microscopic wear, but nothing that would ever be noticeable.
  20. I do indeed. Nothing wrong with a questioning of opinion that seems to be based on flawed ideas/science/fundaments/etc.. I'm happy to learn and change my mind if I'm shown compelling evidence for the claims made.
  21. Sorry, but that sounds like utter nonsense. Do you have any articles that show this to be true?
  22. Depends on the size and quantity of the abrasive agent in the lubricant. Um, not sure what cutting and grinding fluids have to do with the fork foam rings.
