HI All - just seen these have been released - the seem extremely light(Pair 1419gr) and I cant seem to find any meaningfull reviews. Has anyone bought these/ridden these? Im in the market for a mtb wheelset - do mostly XCM, berg&bush sani2c type events and the mtn/nissan races - would this be a good buy?
Not sure if it's the same thing but I took my pedals (egg beaters) to Solomon's cycles who sent it to the agent as there was too much play in the pedals and they "serviced" the pedals and changed the colured spring - this when all other shops said I needed new pedals. Think it cost in total R400
most post I have read have not been so complimentary of cycle lab - good to see, can only be good for the consumer which is why and how they in business in the 1st place
I've had the same issue when descending at speed and not being in the smalles cog at the back....shifting down to the smallest cog at the back seems to have done the trick
I ride road and mtb and to be honest have stopped riding with a club on road rides due to the cowboy approach of people in the group and blatant disregard for other road users as mentioned above - as a driver and cyclist it angers me to see bunches riding 3-4 abreast. I have seen tweets etc from cycle lab and on super cycling about being courteous and safe, either these people are ignorantly bliss or just don't care about the move of cyclist to be safer
right - just found out that I have just over an hour to pickup my race number for tomorrow - that wont be happening, while I understand the above comment it unfortunately does not mean I can put it into practice...seems I will have to stick to XCM or really go out my way to make arrangements to do the next XCO event which for most working mtb'ers is not really an option
Thanks tankman - I have done that but then what is the point of having the ability to select different bikes - a friend has the 305 and it has this functionality? Surely this is not just an oversight?
Does anyone know if you can have different displays on this unit per bike - I know u can have different bikes (up to 3 I think) but I cannot seem to have different display - I.e. I want cadence to display for my road bike when selected and not to display when I select my mtb bike...?
understand guys that some days u average 10km/h for 3 or 4 hour stretches (and longer) and Im talking about a average Jo(if you get such a thing at the epic), so make sure you have enough hydration - It can get seriously hot!
I wonder if they are still offering mule bars at the water point.... Never saw one of those last year - perhaps it was because I was at the back of the field most of time
I cant believe people complained - just recieved a email saying they have dropped it to R15 untill further notice. From a safety perspective especially for those who work you cannot beat it, even if it is just going round and round...each to his own indeed
I think you need to take it from whence it comes - he is a down hill racer - there is a big difference between downhill,xc,marathon riding. He clearly is a great rider butask Burry and CHristof there opinions. Its horses for courses
