  1. Hey guys I recently finished rebuilding my 2012 Stumpjumper FSR. I bought it here on BikeHub and initially it was supposed to be a "true the rear wheel and get a NW chainring" kinda build. 6 months(and a few undeclared rands) later and here we are
  2. I haven't been on a bike since 2014, so its awesome to be back. Got myself a 2011 Giant XTC SL. So far I've just tried to make it slightly more uncomfortable.
  3. I recently converted to singlespeed and I'm loving every moment of it This is my girl in her dirty clothes http://photostand.co.za/images/imkst01b69qx1gpd7hy5.jpg And this is her in her 94.7 kit http://photostand.co.za/images/b187816r713qin9nohqz.jpg I doubt I'll ever go back to geared or dare I say, suspension

    FSA BB-1000

You reckon it might be time to replace the crank all together?

    FSA BB-1000

Thanks, I actually forgot about them, they have been extremely helpful in the past! If it becomes too much of an issue I'll just look at replacing the crank with a more standardized one
  6. Hey guys Hoping someone here could assist me My singlespeed uses a FSA Gamma Drive crankset, it in turn uses a 19mm spindle BB instead of the usual 24mm I've gotten as far as getting the correct part number but I cant seem to find the BB locally Anyone here know where I can buy a FSA BB-1000 19mm bottom bracket? Cheers Wedge Added a pic for legitness

  19. So on Friday morning I woke up with the k** idea of building SS Rigid mountain bike. Budget being extremely tight(why is the budget always so tight?) I hit the hub searching for wallet friendly parts After spending most of Saturday finding the right parts and assembling it, this is what I ended up with http://photostand.co.za/images/bgotsyn8djswis9yhz2.jpg On Sunday I headed to Hakahana and did the blue route, man was I surprized, what an epic bike this is. http://photostand.co.za/images/8ixxtn8lbf2gour9zrn.jpg Not once did I wish for my creature comforts like gears and suspension(got no time fo dat) Next up would be to strip it down again and paintstrip the bike, also want to remove the cable tabs while I'm at it I also have a few issues with the chain slipping under some heavy climbing, but I modded the tensioner with a bigger wheel that seemed to sort the issue for now Will post again once it looks a little better

Sjo, pics like these kinda takes the mojo away Seems like brake levers are almost as lethal as Crankbrothers Ankle Eaters
  21. Haha, Downhill tyres excluded
  22. Because Maxxis tyres will try to kill you on anything other than dry hot tar
  23. This thread gives me the need for single speed
  24. And on the opposite side of Brandons cycling theory, I have added some weight this weekend Now with larger discs and a 36T front chainring I also picked up an XTR Chain, but not for the weight advantages Now If I could only sell my Elixir Carbons and get XT brakes my life would be complete!
  25. Once again Shamus and the guys have come through helping me in my hour of need Bought a set of wheels that were 15mm TA, quick browse on their site and immediately found the right converter An hour later and it's here with me Thanks again guys
