I guess if your LBS still has stock of the 2011 models they will knock a few Rand off the price but as far as I am aware my local LBS stopped ordering 2011 bikes quite some time ago in anticipation of the 2012 stock.
I agree, the company and the products they sell as well as their customer service are all very legit, but it looks like someone is using their detials to try and run a scam as I am not aware of them selling any of the products mentioned in the ad.
Hey man I do have a personal connection to them but my objective opinion is that both their service and products are fantastic. I am not so sure about that Gumtree ad though as the products listed are not products that they usually sell but give them a call and try and get more info. Feel free to PM me with any queries regarding their products. As far as I know they will be delving into social media for marketing purposes, I do not know if the Hub forms part of that strategy.
When it comes to enrty level bikes you really get what you pay for so IMO if you have 7k to spend on a bike, buy a 7k bike. Try and compare components of the bikes you are considering. Something you might want to consider, there is a Scott Scale 70 in the classifieds.
Damn sounds like a good ride, just got abck on the bike after a 2 week bout of flu so dont know how the legs / chest is gonna feel but very tempted to join.
Got back on the bike for the first time in 2 weeks after a heavy bout of flu, didn't go well. But managed to push through with my fav song of all time blaring through the earphones. Visions of Johanna - Bob Dylan followed by Powderfinger - Neil Young Hope tomorrow is a better day in the saddle
