  1. The case of taxi driver Njabulo Nyawose, accused of killing Burry, is due to take place today. Lets hope justice is served and a strong message is sent to all dangerous drivers out there. iride4burry
  2. 2012 Epic Expert, Fast Track Control's. XT pedals and S-Works shoes - 1st Epic
  3. it is impossible to get any work done, Epic is consuming every thought. Suppose this is what happens to first timers.
  4. great, will look out for you guys Ian
  5. on the website under rider profiles
  6. we are off at 0802, no 177. Wearing Dion Wired kit. All the best for the last stretch! Hope I don't hold you up on the technical stuff
  7. Start times are up, under rider profiles on the Epic website. Reality is setting in....
  8. iRide4Burry - lost but never forgotten!!
  9. just sent my bike in for its major service prior to Epic. Getting everything done, strip down, rebuild, new valves, cables, brake service, bearings and tyres. Elected to stay with Fast Track Control's, will these manage the hectic Western Cape terrain?
  10. and dont forget the pics, of the supermodel
  11. Surely rules do not apply in the case of a S-Works
  12. I expect to see lots of Specialized Epic's and Scott Spark's. Hopefully some Momsens & Pyga's too.....
  13. Intersesting discussion. I have a 2012 Epic Expert and am now looking at the Camber Expert as I struggle in the technical bits on the Epic. Doing the Cape Epic next year and am concerned about the rocky descents.... spoke to the blokes at Concept in Jhb who advised to go for the Camber as it is more forgiving but still climbs well.
  14. Consider the Momsen AL329, great frame and its cheaper. Components might not be as good as the Scott but the bike is very upgradable in my opinion. Worth a look
  15. I would say Scale. You can do family rides and races on it. If the setup is correct it is a very comfortable ride. May also be easier to offload when you want to sell/upgrade.
  16. .... edge of the seat stuff
  17. Is today the day?? Keep us posted please
  18. just seen this now, awesome! Are you still accepting cash or is the deal done?
  19. ..... a few weeks later. I see there is a fantastic deal on both Aspen and Crossmark 29" on CWC. Anyone have an opinion on the Aspen's? I currently have Ikons on my HT and Fast Track on my dual suss and like both set ups.
  20. Good move, enjoy!
  21. go on, scratch that itch
  22. Had the American Classics on my 26" Scott and now have the ZTR Crest/Hope's on my 29". Both great Wheelsets, ZTR rims are said to be stiffer. Hope rear hub is noisy, although I like this as people in front of you know you are there. There is a current special on ZTR/Hope on CWC for R4999, great deal. Go for it
  23. Could'nt believe the number of late model bikes at the Eston race yesterday. Sooner or later (most likely later), these will be replaced. Great race, fantastic route and well organized. Seems some riders went off route with markers being confusing in places. Still a great event.
  24. It's going to be an interesting time. With the Rand being weaker than last year but having recovered slightly in the past week or so, have importers/agents placed orders for 2014 bikes? If so, prices may be a lot higher than the expected annual increases. Some bike retailers seem to be offering great deals on in stock 2013 bikes, considering this and the impact of the Rand, I wonder what 2014 new bike sales will do.
  25. Tried XX1, its awesome. Huge prices though, check out the current XX1 specials on BuyCycle.......
