  1. The man himself is really squeezing every last drop out of that lemon, and who can blame him. I for one enjoyed it while it lasted. Always claimed him as a SA rider. And now I am enjoying the new generation even more. Very entertaining sport !😁
  2. This was a group of 12, so not even safety in numbers anymore. Are there any safe places left to cycle ?
  3. I guess this is what you mean already, but it should go where your middle ring used to be. If it is only in line whe in 9th gear, even more important that this is the case. Secondly, as mentioned already, spacers on drive side of the BB can be moved to non drive side, effectively moving the chainring closer to the frame, ensuring better allignment. Lastly, look at the offset of NW chainring. 6mm offset should also help here.
  4. First time doing this event. Do we get gpx files or are the routes marked ?
  5. Thanks. They might have been in touch with them already. They are getting them from BW tomorrow morning, then on with their journey !
  6. Hi There. Hope someone can help. We have a couple doing a Charity ride for their school from Gauteng to Cape Town on a Tandem. They are currently stuck in Hanover with 2 broken spokes. Struggling to find anything from Hanover to De Aar. What are the chances of a hubber in the area, or who knows someone in the area that can assist with 2 spokes ? This is urgent, if someone can assist.
  7. 😁. You got me there.
  8. The mechanic is the owner.😀 Races done would include Epic, Tankwa Trek, Attakwas etc... Bike is right, price is "okay". Frame should have some second owner warranty left. Suspension serviced recently.
  9. Hope this is the right thread for this question. Wasn't going to start another one. Would you buy a second hand DS mtb, that seems to be great value for money, if you know if was raced/used hard with high km's, but also know that it was maintained very well, with good upgrades and a recently fitted drivetrain ?
  10. I think today's stage has Remco written all over it. Green an option ??
  11. 👆This Question: My problem is with Hannah Walker (DSTV commentary). Is there more than one Hannah who thinks this man can do no wrong ?
  12. The guy is good, very good, but so overhyped. When he goes for a stage win, like yesterday, very few can follow. Okay, let's focus on one word in those two sentences. I was more referring to having to listen to references like "Remarkable Remco" for the duration of the last climb. Was also actually commenting more on my view of the stage in general.
  13. Yesterday was very enjoyable to watch. Even Remco's win. The guy is good, very good, but so overhyped. When he goes for a stage win, like yesterday, very few can follow. Watching the top 6 testing each other (okay 4;5;6 trying to) was nice to see. Seeing how SK countered everyone of those final efforts just confirms (to me at least) that he is more deserving of this Vuelta than ever before. Are the other 2 JV guys stronger at this stage ? Who cares, it does not matter. The guy in Red is more than capable of defending it. If he cracks on Saturday and going to loose 3 minutes, putting Roglic's 3rd in danger, and another JV guy has to defend the Red for the team, then fair play. JV (yes both Team and Rider), more of the same on Saturday please !
  14. Must say, a little dissapointed that JV did not keep Sepp's lead intact today. I guess a GC win is not on the cards for him. I am rooting for him. Jonas could still take the win, if that was the plan, just not by more than a minute. The other teams did not look like trying anything today.
  15. Also saw this, but on the positive side, spelling does not have to be 100% anymore. I think this is a very positive step ! Previously some ads were excluded in the search because the seller misspelled the name of the product. I see these are now included.👍
  16. I understand there used to be, but are now long gone.
  17. Still 07:00 for now. Couple of friends are going tomorrow. Will probably move back to 06:00 somewhere during September.
  18. I could not agree more. The satisfaction of building, riding, changing, riding and so on.... can not be achieved by buying either of these (monstercross or singlespeed.)
  19. You should always be able to use them. Can even get an adapter kit to use non boost wheels on boost frames.
  20. - Can a 12sp Microspline free hub fit on non boost hub? Yes. Boost/non boost is not the deciding factor. Type of hub is. As an example, Rapide hubs are standard, XD and Microspline compatible in both boost and non boost.
  21. Glad DSM won, but this time I have to agree with Remco. Damn, never thought I would say that.🙈
  22. Maybe a stupid question, but here goes anyway. I know lighter wheels are more responsive, which has its benefits. I guess Al vs Carbon does not make a difference in this regard. Now my question. Wheelset at 1470g vs a good quality wheelset around 1750g (250-300g diff), would it make such a big difference ? More importantly, would I, at 90kg even feel the difference ?
  23. Not sure what all the fuss is about. It is clearly stated that positions 33-40 can be allocated to people in the top 10 in other UCI disciplines. Unless I am reading the rules wrong.
  24. Would like for Kung to win, but maybe a step to far.
