  1. Barry, i got 750 with my kinvaras. The freedom ISO is much nicer for my feet. My current Freedoms are on 600 and still good. I have done a marathon with the freedoms and the kinvaras and i prefer the freedoms. I cannot compare to anything else as I am have not used anything else. I have just brought another pair om freedoms to use on my long runs (21km) the other runs will be in my old pair.
  2. 18 min .... then I should sell my running shoes and use my flip flops for my strolls around the block cause by these standards I am a tortoise.
  3. How does the Truimph and Ride compare to the freedoms or Kinvaras?
  4. CptMayhem, what is the current stats, how many people or how many products has been cancelled?
  5. I had a 8km mtb ride yesterday afternoon. My legs hated me on the 3% gradient to get back home before the rain started but o my soul that suspension felt so soft and smooth. Legs are feeling much better today.
  6. No! I am still so sore today and walking like an old lady, rocking from side to side. Maybe 2020 I will attempt the first one. I need to pick between Oceans, Loskop dam or Om die dam. Since I haven't done any of them, which one would you recommend and why?
  7. Was my second marathon. I had the run of my life. The first 9 km was extremely congested and no where to go. When we got back onto the main Kaapsehoop road going back to Nelspruit I thought to myself that I can forget about doing a good time as I was sitting with a 6:55 min/km avg. But as soon as the road opened up I settled down and got into my own rhythm. I kept looking at my watch to see what I HR was doing as I wanted to keep it low but with that monster of a downhill I also wanted to make the most of it without braking to much. I went through halfway at about 2:07 something. I knew I will be fine up until 24 km, from there I was just trying to not waste time at the water points. I'm also not a water point potato eating person due to hygiene but Saturday I had to put it aside and I can report that I am still alive after having 3 potato pieces. At 28 km I had a gel and was digging deep 28-30km. At 35 I caught up with a fellow club runner and handed him my last gel as I was feeling OKish. However that last bloody 4 km was long. Crossing the finish line I busted into tears of joy. My official time 4:27:38 I improved my previous marathon time by about 1 hour 10 minutes.
  8. Stretch, Sorry about your Dad. :-(
  9. Thanks.
  10. Sunrise just outside Clarens during September
  11. I am missing my bike. Once Kaapsehoop marafun is finished, hopefully balance between running and cycling will return.
  12. Will see how Kaapsehoop turns out and will only make a decision after that. If I then do not get a sub or entry after that then so be it.
  13. I'm on 790km for the year. If all goes well I should make the 1000km.
  14. The driving thing is not working for me. On average I do not drive a 100km in a week. Most of my 2km trips don't show up on the app. I think they should reward me for staying off the roads
  15. True, The more structured heel of the kinvara would be amazing on the freedoms. My kinvaras only lasted just more than 700km, they are so used up that I feel bad donating them.
  16. I'm currently running in the freedoms and love them lots. Have 360km on them and they are still very good. Also pronate with my one foot. The shoe does not look out of alignment when looking from behind. However it is not standing flat on the ground anymore as it was when I bought them. But this I put down to normal wear and tear. Also does not feel if the shoe is busy collapsing. When my shoes are finished I normally start getting all sorts of knee pain. I'm hoping to get 1000km out of them but will have to wait and see.
  17. I dont have a ww card linked to discovery. Pnp for my healthy food. I mostly buy the luxury spoiling items from woolies.
  18. Which woolworths card are they refering to? Do want to select the voucher and then get to the till and get a “im sorry your card is not the one we are looking for”
  19. Strange question but am I the only who who have toe nails that just keeps falling off. I have two toes that constantly gives me a pain in the butt. If I remember correctly the shape is called a hammer toe Once they grow back to full it is basically a week or two and then they are all blue again and the process repeats itself. I am now thinking of having them removed permanently. Have any of you had this done and can you recommend a podiatrist?
  20. I have also been to SBR for an assessment about a year and a half ago. I do not have any compliants. For me it was money well spend.
