  1. It does. If only I can get my hands on an entry.
  2. Thanks guys. Next up is the Vaal marathon. Yes it is a big step up. But the aim is to finish regardless of time. If I do manage to get in under 5 it will be a bonus.
  3. I didn't have any issues. I got stopped twice on route to wait for traffic. All the marshals and police were very effective.
  4. Legs were still good at the finish. Guess if I had to, I could have gone further. But I think the distance was just right for now. I don't want to over do it.
  5. I ran my first half marathon this weekend at the McCarthy Toyota in PTA. The aim was to finish without feeling like I want to die. I finished in a time of 2:19 Overall I am very happy with my first 21km. From here things can only get better.
  6. It is actually on the calendar for next year. Will see how my first marathon goes and then make a decision.
  7. Or he could sell his entry to me should I qualify Sneaky sneaky
  8. I had a awesome ride in CL Frosty and his mates controled the pace in the front and I just managed to hang on. Thanks guys you rock!
  9. Attended my first club TT on Tuesday since 1994. It was a big shock to my body as I am not used to the pace for the distance. I did the 8km which was actually 7.5km, what a tough little route with over 130m of climbing all in the last 4km. I survived and looking forward to do the next one... but not next week.
  10. Well done guys. Grrr I just cannot get out of the bottom 3 based on pace.
  11. The Vaal sufferfest will be my first attempt at a marafun. Not chasing a time, only a finish.
  12. I have put my online enties on hold to see if I dont get my number in time.
  13. Sure But just be prepared to pitch up at your marathon undertrained.
  14. According to the Paddaman sum rules... I am falling clearling in the undertraining category.
  15. I have also got a from me to me present.
  16. Oh yes I do want both. The peregrines has my name all over them. Let me think about it. ... wait thinking part is over now. ... This will be the to me from me chrismas present.
  17. I got the kinvaras with the shoe booster and still have a long way to go before I can boost again. At the moment I only have this one pair of running shoes. So I am looking to get something as a second pair that will be more durable. But still cannot decide if I should get a trail running shoe or a high mileage road shoe.
  18. How do you find the freedoms? I fitted them the other day and they feel very nice. But R2900 is more than what I want to spend on shoes.
  19. Thanks for all the shoe mileage posts. I have done about 400km on my Kinvara's now but have done quiet a bit of off road running with them and cannot see them lasting another 400km.
  20. Seeing the new shoes in the post above ... How often do all of you replace your shoes? How many km’s do you get out of them?
  21. Vetties my Babe, When it gets rough and tough... remember I am watching your dot and I don’t like to see your dot hanging around the same spot for too long. Good luck and enjoy.
  22. Vetties Babe, Im so proud of you. Will be supporting you all the way.
  23. I see some of the classes are now reflecting. But most of mine are still missing. ☹️
