Teak and NF are as safe as houses, there was mention of one incident outside of NF but that was about it. Been riding both on my own, especially NF for the last few years without any problems at all.

Far as I know there aren't any. May be different for a trailer though. To be extra safe I often tie a red rag to the rack or pedal, I know the law requires this if an object protrudes a certain distance from the vehicle. Which most probably doesn't apply to most of us with bike racks, like I say though, for me personally I do it just to be safe.

You can buy a kit which mounts onto the tow bar and connect it to the trailer socket. Some make their own light kits. Most bike shops should be able to show you a sample.

Value for money, Wellgo and Shimano. Well priced, work as well as anything else out there and are pretty bombproof. Even found that the same cleats work on both the pedals. Although apparently they are different.
