Ya not a great fan, met him and a relative at an event where they were guests, found him self important and condescending generally. Suppose it didn’t help that the event were fawning all over him at just every opportunity. In saying that, can’t deny the knowledge and insights he’s put out there on a lot of cycling topics.

Yip I do, but every few months the freehub gets a regular clean and service as well with a dab of marine grease on the outside.

Are they slip on rubber grips? These are generally pretty budget and can stretch, albeit they are comfortable enough. Slip them off, place one or two narrow strips of insulation tape on the bars, douse bars and grips with hairspray and pop the grips on. Leave to dry overnight, sorted.

Sigh …. Also on the app, when you click on “membership benefits” it simply just takes you to where the various membership levels are, not to the actual benefits that are supposedly underwritten. Totally understand the challenges with limited resources and how thankless a task it is with a lot of the national and provincial federations. But people are paid for this and these are the basics that push people away.

That place has so much potential. Could fulfill a tier of conservation, research, sports training and tourism markets. Staff are keen, well trained and there’s a good baseline for the infrastructure. Fukal leadership though.

Well the designer was originally based with Pyga bikes. Even so, one can line up a number of trunion style frames and they’ll all have a similar look one way or another. It’s neither here nor there.

I often commute, and for a lot of errands etc use the bike. When working ‘corporate’ I car pooled with three others, for the relative effort the benefits far exceeded any inconvenience.
