  1. Ryder Sidekick. Lightweight, low key, just work and cheap as chips.
  2. Bit of rain earlier, temp had dipped a fair bit, but clearing up a bit tomorrow. Trails will be perfect now, and with cooler weather!
  3. Bit breezy but perfect weather generally. Oak Valley looking good
  4. I’ve seen that Trailwolf have a ridiculously good special on Morvelo kit. Bibs, trail shorts, jerseys, base shirts, socks etc ...
  5. Muizies is cray cray hey. Beat him with the three year old next time.
  6. Perhaps you’re just not riding enough, or appreciate that comparing isn’t really a good barometer. Ridden all over and taken visitors from all over on the trails upland. Everyone of them have been blown away and had a good time. The region has some exceptional riding. And yes, we may not have the exceptional natural mountain scapes like some areas in the WC. We do have access to comparable bushveld experiences like van Gaalen and Buffelsdrift. If we want mountains, the Berg is about 4 hours away, which is world class for outdoors. Very very few places have the range of accessible riding. But ja, given the right opportunity I’d still jump to WC quicker than a cheetahs fart.
  7. I think Luso is active that side. Also check with Impey and Complete Cyclist up the road.
  8. I think there are few setups anywhere in the world like Tygerberg and on balance they do an exceptional job. Some of the reaction to the newsletter is understandable. It really isn’t acceptable, also wouldn’t go as far as to call it incitement, bit of an overreaction. See the club acknowledged as such, apologised and have shown action. In an imperfect world of imperfect people, that’s pretty damn good.
  9. May have something to do with CTCT originally being a protest ride and not necessarily a timed recreational event. Irrespective of the semantics though, they are both exceptional events in their own right and historical context. If one is fortunate enough do any of the Ride to Shova rides down, take the opportunity. It really is food for the soul and a beautiful cycling journey filled with memories. This is coming from a none roadie 🤭
  10. Just phone hotel reception and/or your team management...... 🤭😋
  11. Raffa Bikes, they have regular group rides around the area.
  12. Taroko Trail Park in Modderfontein. Been ages since doing a proper night ride. Sipping a cold with burgers and banter afterwards and listening to the wildlife. It really felt amazingly disconnected from being anywhere near a massive metro like Sandton/Jhb.
  13. Nice to see Marin return to South Africa, best of luck with the brand, hope it's a success!
  14. Yes, looking forward! See Cath Colyn, HB and a few others are there as well.
  15. In a culture of cancel culture and projection, conspiracy theories fit in nicely. Especially if it's someone's favourite sporting icon. The irony is almost entertaining.
  16. It is was knock knock dude, not nailing dead animals to a tree. Let’s not go all woke. Its easy, call hotel/team management and sort it.

  18. Clearly. No one is saying otherwise, not even the reporting. While both things can be true, their actions don’t supersede his reaction. Which by the way, he himself has copped to.
  19. So many good memories to celebrate from that. Must find the photo gallery. Burry, forever remembered. Usher’s pops who passed away in the last year. He’s forgotten more than what most of still need to learn. Amy Beth whose happily married and racing up a storm. Nic White who has semigrated to the Cape his family. Doing tours and coaching alongside Di his wife. Both sons riding. Pepi the tattoo artist, a power rider in his own right. Macedonia 🇲🇰 national champ. Closed up his tattoo studio in Parkhurst, went solo and recently moved to Paris with his wife.
  20. 100% in agreement with Trashy and Justin, fair explanation.
  21. Such a flatulent disregard....
  22. Given the description of events, not entirely unreasonable. Pretty sure the kids have also been given a proper rollicking at home. Imho this is one of those crpy moments where nobody wins.
