  1. Bees, Stay with the combination that works for you. I have changed back to a norm derailer for now until I can change to XT duel levers. Not sure on how the normal derailer will behave with duel levers. Mixing the 2 def does not do it for me!
  2. Can use either with a tube. I have also done a tubless conversion on both wire and folding.
  3. how else would they get the mud off? Been using a PW for 15years. Just keep regular services on the bearings. no diff to riding through a river or having to hang your bike over the causway under water at the sani to get the mud off to continue...
  4. For us non lefty / right / clockwise / anticlockwise people, If you stand with the back wheel between your legs pull the spanner towards you for both pedals...
  5. Pop 3 nipple spaces of the tyre off the rim and pour the sealant in while holding the wheel off the ground. Helps having 4 hands or a helpfull wife. Some tube conversions don't have the luxury of a removable core. I tried a syringe but the sealant always seems to clog at the end. Some sealants won't even go through the syringe. Just take care not to fold the tube strip or stans strip when popping the tyre back.

  7. The whole route down the Railway line is not safe. There is many areas where cable thieves strip the cable in the bush. Even people sleeping in the water drains under the railway line opposite the wild game area on the left that have a pumpaction shotgun. (someone else must have seen these guys on the 14th Feb) The whole route next to the railway line till past the Engen is a huge risk at the moment!
  8. My main problem is trying to shift to an easier gear while barreling down a rough downhill hard on the breaks for a switchback.. My thumb cant easily get to the front lever to push. (cause it is holding on for dear life on the bars). I can't use the index finger to pull the trigger either, due to it being used to try stop!
  9. That is the exact problem BB. Will the Dual shifters operate 'normal'?
  10. Not......
  11. What shifters can I use with a XTR Rapid Rise M960 R/D? Can I use XT duel control?
  12. Le inverter in le backup car.......
  13. Just get a good side cutter. works just as good.
  14. 10th is good. Yes, seen them panning there a few times. Every 2nd Wed would be good. Is Alister still cruzing the dumps?
  15. Sani Non-Stop....... right up there with building your own canoe and pushing off into the Bearing sea!.....insane I am very keen on a night ride on the dumps though, even mid week. Just not next week. Can't get closer to the wild east than that. Might even run into some gold panners protecting their claims!
  16. Duh Duh! Sani2c.............
  17. What epoxi did you use?
  18. Any ideas of how to double secure the unit? Zipties or Tape?
  19. DUh...... would have loved to join but have to work........ Next time!
  20. Thanks Db. So just pop tubless valves in then...... I have no idea of the cost.
  21. Had 2 Stan strips replaced by a mate. the shop gave him these stiff plastic strips. There is no valves. Are they for tubless or just normal rim strips?
  22. Only one wheel? And no gears? And too scared to ride clipless pedals? What a poofter Mmmmm, could mount the Garmin on your wrist......
