Hee hee! Sounds vain doesn't it? I'm getting my bike on Saturday after the fitting (but it's built, so i'll see it this afternoon!). I want to ride the Spruit on Saturday afternoon and Northern Farm Sunday afternoon after Mother's Day lunch. Anyone keen?
Yah Ratty, that's why I put a disclaimer on my email. Time will tell, I'm happy so far. I hope that Mampara contacts them, or they contact Mampara and the problem is resolved.
All I have to say is give them a chance to reply. I appreciate that you haven't named them, but you also haven't given them a chance to make right for what sounds like an uncalled for comment. I agree calling a bike cr@p is uncalled for but you are making assumptions about them and how they run their shop.

Hi all, Crunch time. I have the budget and the need for a new frame. I am currently riding 5.5 inch travel and fairly keen to stick with it (unless someone can give me a good reason to go for smaller travel). I ride as much technical ground as I can. That doesn't mean I'm good at it, only that I want to be better at it! I am nearly completely convinced with the Commencal Meta 5.5. I received a rave review from a friend who has been MTBing for 20 years and is buying his in 2 months. It's R12 000 for the frame and back shock. Anyone care to convince me to consider alternatives? And it has to make sense!

Hi Fester, see www.satrails.co.za. Go to right hand side, click on link for more info on trails (document on NF) Northern Farm is a standalone, i.e. open to public not limited to a club. There are a lot of trails, mostly roads but a bit of singletrack. I haven't done Mabalingwe so not sure how it compares...
