  1. We will have to wait for Mampara to give us directions :-) Basically you travel down Beyers Naude to Northcliff Corner. Turn towards Ncliff Corner (left if coming from Emmarentia, right if coming from Cresta). Travel down 10km or so, shopping centre on right? At least that's where I think it is! So: Me Mampara Bored girl Miss V I'll send a msg out to Mamba as well...
  2. Bladerunner, I've also used Castrol in a spraycan and found it built up on other bits of the bike like the hub? Where do you position the spray?
  3. Sorry, meant to specify Sunday. Mampara, do you know somewhere safe for us to park? Happy to start at Greymont (sneaky bugger, doesn't want to ride to the start!)
  4. Yip, anyone gotta MTB and wanna join me
  5. Saddlesore, you have the option of refining your search by forum. Go have a look
  6. For those who are not going down to Argus, wanna ride the Spruit? Planning to ride early as I have a lunch at 12, start from Emmarentia, ride up to Alberts Farm, back down to Delta Park, then home. Start at 7am to miss some of the temperature...
  7. Hmm, plans to have fun fun fun fun fun...
  8. ...faints...
  9. I will forward to Swampdogs (I am a member) but not sure which section you refer to?
  10. For those who don't have the background to this (like me), it can be found at https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=10547&KW=greg&PN=3
  11. thanks for the info share Mamba. Saffa-G, I'm going away with some of the Dark and Dirty riders for a Knobbly Camp at Graskop. 7am start on Saturday, ride to waterfall for lunch, ride back, play/ skills in afternoon, night ride and 7am outride on Sunday. I'm going to be broken!!!
  12. OH NO!!! THE FLIRTING HAS STARTED AGAIN!!!
  13. I have the same problem that certain readings just mess with my brain. I don't have a HR monitor yet (who can tell that all my money went into a fancy new MTB?!) so I read cadence and clock. That way I can't punish myself with speed (too slow) or time elapsed (too much!). Also let's me monitor my output (cadence) to try and make sure that I keep it up.
  14. DR, thinking of you and Antoinette. This must be a horrifying experience. Good luck with recovering your stuff, and more importantly starting to recover from this traumatic experience
  15. Hi all I, erm, lost my multitool on Sunday whe everyone was helping to remove my shoe from my pedal wonduhboy, Saffa G, can you check if anyone put it in their saddlebag? Thanks!
  16. Alert alert! Just discovered that I have no multitool in my saddlebag (blush!) Pls can everyone check if they have it! Thanks
  17. Mud Dee, the schraeder valve is inside and the thread is in no way attached to the valve cap. On my one, if you turn the cap to remove it, it can unthread the valve itself. A hassle, but I don't know that I'd cause it obsolete.
  18. Had the same problem on Tuesday morning on my MTB with new Specialised pre-Slimed tube, valve was loose and tyre slowly going flat. we changed it, but I think the solution is to tighten the cap
  19. Heard you came down wif a helluva sickness? Brought on by lack of sleep and lack of cycling no doubt!MichH2007-02-20 04:18:50
  20. DR, remind me to NEVER accept a "little fruit drink" at your house!!
  21. Hey bored girl! Was about to send you a pm and ask if you'd made it or not! I only saw yr post this morning, so didn't even know to look out for you! Good to hear that you are getting the falling over out the way, giggle! We all go through that, so you're not alone (I still fall over whilst clipped in sometimes!). Anyway, good luck for Sabie and we will put something together for the week after!
  22. Yes, our foods don't have enough vitamins in them any more. Yes you should be taking a multivitamin every day for an extended period to see true impact. Yes, you need to find a good quality, preferably based on whole food concentrates. I take a range called Nutrilite, been around for over 70 years, they own their own organic farms, and they have just released in SA a multivitamin, multimineral and phytonutrient supplement called Double X. This product is endorsed by world 100m sprint champion Asafa Powell.
  23. Darn' date=' I was hoping that would go unmentioned! I'll blame it all on Dylan who met me late! Who needs enemies with friends like these! Amazing what us MTBers carry in our packs! Thank you thank you thank you! You gotta deal! thanks to everyone, had a great day!
  24. Gotta conference on all weekend, can't ride...
