  1. I like that route, but I tend to ride up to chappies viewpoint first, then glencairn express and up redhill. @babse I prefer early mornings simply cause there are less cars on the road and if I start a bit later, then I cut out chappies. I have been riding solo road a lot more lately, not sure when last I was on the mtb.
  2. something with a dw link, but..... https://www.bicycling.com/bikes-gear/mountain-bike/a37145853/what-is-a-bar/ https://www.bikeradar.com/features/the-ultimate-guide-to-mountain-bike-rear-suspension-systems/ its more the design of the suspension system.
  3. Years ago I worked in support for Various top tier companies and private hospitals all over Cape Town. The day I resigned, I was called out to a hospital to restore their terminals and network. As soon as I logged in I could tell that someone was working on the server. I called into the office and they were like no, restore the terminals. So I carried out the instruction, it didnt work, After a few hours a supervisor rocks up and also cannot get it to work. I tell him someone is working on the server and he ignores me. He makes calls etc. Just as our manager walks in the terminals connect after almost a whole day there. It turned out that there was people working on the server at that hospital and at the Telkom building in Belville. I resigned on the spot and told them this could of all been avoided if I was authorised to go check the server room after my call to the office.
  4. Sounds interesting, like @MORNE , I probably would bonk at 80km, but I know the area well and should be doable but at what speed🙈. I would def use a camelbak for such a long distance.

  7. as mentioned i have tried all the avenues. I played cricket for a long time and noticed the blind spots with the inserts even when cycling. It was the only option for me at the time as I struggle big time to use contacts. I am only using them for about 3 or 4 years now and still struggle. My prescription sunglasses work for me. Check with spec savers what they have available as well. You are limited in the shape of the frame for sunglasses.
  8. I have a pair which is great, but you are left with horrible blind spots. I have since learned to use contact lenses and I also have a pair of prescription sunglasses, which might be a better option.
  9. Plan was to head out that way today, but saw the rain this morning and decided to get back into bed. We had just got home at 4:30 as well, and only managed to sleep until 8!
