  1. I am probably wrong, but I think everyone is trying to attack and tyre out whoever they can. Pogi just seems to be taking it easy, conserving his energy perhaps. The next few days could be telling though. Even the peleton yesterday were in no rush to chase down the breakaways.
  2. LOL, kromboom or Lansdowne? Lansdowne feels like a deep rut in the left lane.
  3. Extremely stupid and playing with the riders safety. Fortunately no one came off due to the tacks.
  4. Not feeling great for a while! headaches, stuffy chest but also asthmatic. I believe my major contributor to be stressed also as per doc. Hardly ridden a bike, but at least pull out a 8to10km hike every sunday.
  5. II would of joined you, but I would not of kept up!🙈
  6. Bainskloof still on my bucket list rides. But i want to do it from ceres side. maybe a ride out from wellington to gouda, wolseley, bainskloof ending in wellington. hmm, this will be a nice ride, now to just do it!!
  7. Laugh Out Loud. I know people who go camp and take almost everything. Portable aircon, microwave and a 150/200L fridge!
  8. install smart remote on your phone. I have given up on remotes as one sometime struggle with the buttons or the batteries are dead. The only thing with the phone is to make sure its pointed directly to the device.
  9. I have a tv box on one tv and a pc on the main tv. For me the pc works way better. Even the browsing/filtering choices are nicer than the apps. Much more easier to navigate.
  10. Agreed. When I ride road and there is rain, I choose my HT over the rim brake roadie. Wet weather braking with disc brakes is extremely good. However I cant say I have issues with rim blocks. If you have the right type, compound, etc then they are very good.
  11. He is absolutely correct about the overheating, disc rub being a negative. A friend of mine cooked his disc brakes on a decent not too long back. He ended up not being able to slow down efficiently. A solution is to use bigger discs, but how is that gonna look on a road bike.
  12. Are these the same as the ones one would get at the post office? That would be in the 80's for me. I think by the time the 90s rolled round it was no more.
  13. All your policies, insurances etc, gives you a tax certificate. You can get an accountant to submit your tax return and if you lucky you either have to pay a penalty or get money back.
  14. yeah, did that a few years ago but 3 coats. It came out great and then I saw my friends, fathers work. 6 Coats of poly, many it was and still is like glass.
