  2. Thanks mackiemoo, I'm very pleased with how it turned out! yes bos, this weekend we can go rip around some trails and take some action shots! The fixie will be up here soon, havent taken decent photos of it yet, give me till Thursday.
  3. Hey guys and ladyguys, I am a typical boy with toys kind of person...loves anything with wheels. Here are my 2 current favorites. I cant leave a bike stock, so none of my bikes ever are...unfortunately I have no way of justifying spending too much money on my bikes, so the parts are carefully chosen firstly for function/price, secondly for style (but it's a damn close second).Big smile The specs: Trailmonster: Mongoose Teocali 09 Frame w Fox RP23 Rockshox RVLTN 426 oil/coil Syncros FLR DS23 rims on BeOne 10mm t/a hubs Smallblock 8 rear and I cant remember what tire I have in front. 4. I'm Ok with the rating sytem, If someone wants to bump their way to self proclaimed hub superiority...that seems stupid, but I'm OK with it. I guess I'd like to have stars for worth while comments and advice (credibility) rather than bumps, but I'm not complaining when I get a star because of a bump.

    Fail

I'm guessing the cops gave the truck driver a fine...
  6. Just to prove my point... If you are going expensive materials and small wheels, top line components...might as well make it fold... The Titanium Airnimal Chameleon with Dura Ace.
  7. are they serious? I have seen folding bikes that looks better than this!
  8. Brawler, Ideally make me an offer. I'd say R5500... I'm sure someone would take the suntour off you. I have ridden the fork like I ride my Argyle and comparitively I don't have a bad word to say about it. Suntour had stepped it up from their older offerings.
  9. haha, sorry I forgot that price is still on there, that's what the bikeshop is asking for it on the floor. I have changed it now and I am negotiable. The stp on the other hand is not a bad bike! I prefer steel on jump bikes for the look and feel, but that's just me. Hope you come right!
  10. Hey Brawler, I am selling a GT ruckus UF steel that I brought in from the UK. Its in great nic. Only reason I am selling is because I already have a DJ rig here and could not get it over my heart to leave my bike in London. Its a great setup and a really great little bike. The bike is standing at a bikeshop in Paarl, if you want it I can collect it from them. PM me if you are interested, I'll send some pics etc over. Here's my old ad: https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=54222&KW=ruckus&PN=3 nox11112009-10-16 02:41:06
  11. Awesome! about time for a good secondhand shop to come around!
  12. Danny is ridiculously good! Mad skill! TiBones, well for BMX you get hubs with freewheels that can free backwards when you keep your legs still and will only engage once you pedal forward a quarter or half turn. The pedaling backwards though...it's just momentum and he keeps pedaling backwards to keep rolling backwards, if he was to stop he would stop moving. You can also by the speed at which you pedal backwards, basically reverse wheelie...your bike climbs in the air because you have momentum going one way and the pedal not moving back at the same speed.
  13. Sheesh, that's not on imho! I really dislike that they just pretend its your LBS. Get them! They need to sort this out!
  14. aaarggghh, unlucky, my folks stay in Ceres, but I'm in London at the time. Enjoy!
  15. Good pics! Awesome bridge vibes!
  16. I'm going with the Beach boys - Kokomo... The rhythm of the steel drum band.
  17. I like tioga tyres, but what Azonic says is true, you need to say what model you like or at least what you want to use it for...
  18. I know everybody is feeling the pinch, but half bicycles?!

  21. I went I beam seat and post... The best thing ever. Get the SDG iFly-C. Its skinny and firm but I have not had any problems and it really is super comfy. nox11112009-01-30 06:57:25
  22. I'm a bit more tech...step down 3-0's, abubaca's, foofanoo's, looong manuals, footjams etc...just having fun on my bike. I'm not big on huge drops, my knees are a little bust from hits. Do you ride?
