  1. I probably use mine 30 to 40 times on a Spruit ride
  2. Happens with any dropper. You are basically ovalising the post so the internals will stick.
  3. If you decrease stem length you usually go for wider bars to pull your upper body forward into the same position. It's usually a little bit personal preference and a lot of trial and error.
  4. Yip,the DVO is still slightly cheaper than the Pike. Good review Iwan. I love my Diamond especially as a biggish trail rider.
  5. We will be getting them. We stock everything cSixx but the only ones we've recieved so far were prototypes.
  6. Never seen WTBs weep like that.
  7. I saw one episode a few weeks ago. Most of the time the people can't even tell him what snake he is dealing with and he has to go under a house or in a roof etc. Saw him catch a 2.5m black mamba inside someone's (messy) bedroom cupboard. That wasn't even the hard part. Getting it into a pillow case and getting the pillow case into a plastic tub without being bitten was eye opening - at no point in the process did he let go of it's neck.
  8. Have seen two in the shop which cracked like that. Usually find that the pivot bearings haven't been maintained or been through too many pressure washes without bearings being regreased. Still, never had a problem from Pyga with warranty on the frames.
  9. Wasn't it you who was battling with seized pivots bearings this week?
  10. At my shop The Trailhead. Just received new stock of the 29"
  11. I had a close encounter with a black mamba. I however didn't see it as it was crossing the dust road in the shadows. I was told it was partially reared about 10cm from my left leg. Hubber 'Sidewinder' (lol) was directly behind me I still have nightmares.
  12. There was a bike in last week which took a couple hours to remove seized the bearings (in the frame and on pivot bolts) using bearing pullers and vice. I don't think the bike had ever had a pivot service from new. Bike is about 15 years old.
  13. Examining all the parts from the pics Lyne have definitely bought/copied bits from KS and made a cheaper Lev.
  14. Onza are a full tubeless tyre and they only bring in the 26" tyres with FR casing.
  15. I think it died from fatigue about 4000kms ago.
  16. Generally it is easier for most riders to choose a good line with their front tyres. The rear tyre carrying their full weight just bashes into everything and catches sharp rocks etc. It then just becomes luck of the draw if you are riding lightweight tyres. My wife loves the Canis on her Pascoe but for me it's way too light for trail riding. FTR my rear tyre is a dual ply sidewall WTB Trailboss at over 1kg. But the sidewall is properly think and reinforced for hectic trail riding and enduro racing. It's almost like a run flat
  17. I have ridden a number of Tallboys but only briefly. Feels like a superb bike. The Stage I rode a number of times and was truly amazed by it. It inspires confidence on downhills like no other marathon bike I've ridden. Fast and nimble everywhere. Jumps well too. It's going to come down to personal preference. You'll have to ride both to make your mind up.
  18. We have a Stage L demo but not a Max. Availablity depends on your size and colour choice.
  19. South are lowest quality when we last looked. But we have given them feedback and they are in the best position to improve and make changes as they are in full control of the manufacturing process.
