  1. Trek have a plastic MTB cage for just over R 100.00. Works like a dream and is light. I got my last one at Cycle Lab Fourways but that was a while ago. The Bontrager one isn't bad, but doesn't grip nearly as well as the Trek model.
  2. This thread is worth a bump. I ordered a set of Mavics and a Ritchey seat post on Monday, they arrived in my office first thing this morning, safe and sound. Well done Chris Jnr.
  3. my next crc order is going to include: crank, chain blades, cassette and chain, tyre's and a polar. Also have you seen their price on Joe's kits compared to LBS?
  4. I definitly love my 'goose.
  5. Nice mag, good plug for Tiger Cycles, DCM and the MTB culture in SA. Now I can't wait for the next Tread mag. Hope it has some SS and a beer review.
  6. Freudian slip by chance?
  7. i think it is a sad day when you have to post photos of your p###s enlargement on the internet
  8. No, I'm doing the Anatomic Adaption Phase training from the MTB training bible. Made a big difference to my ability to climb and ride technical stuff. markStockton2009-06-01 06:50:46
  9. Expect back markers to play a major role. If you get hooked up behind a back marker near the start of angle / organ / whatever grinder, you can expect a minute plus lead to be wiped out easily. I'm definitly going to be there to watch, but I think one of the best spectator spots will be sitting just outside the fence on main road.
  10. BB is right I have, and you can too if you go on a Friday morning.
  11. I honestly can't believe how every one is bleating about this race. It is called the monster for a reason. But judging by the demand for entries, this is exactly what a large portion of the MTB community want. I must agree about Bryce Munro from DCM, he is a real super star in the making and like Yolande Speedy, such a nice modest person.
  12. @Ben - Awesome, first rocky climb I realised it was worth every cent. @Hog - It will have to wait. I'm packing for the World Air Games as I'm leaving for Turin on Thursday. Also it's dirty, can't take photos till it's clean and shiny again.
  13. On one of the descents I found a set of glasses, correctly identify them by PM and they are yours. BTW- I will be out the country from the 4th to the 22nd June so don't stress if I don't reply in that period.
  14. This was mine, my son Kurt and Di's first Monster. I think we all agree that it was a really, really hard race. However apart some of the route marking I would say it was an excellent (although very, very tough) race and I will enter again. However I will train harder on rocky hills before the next one.
  15. The Fourways / Bryanston / MTN bike park has it's provincial XC course available to ride on Friday morning's. The reason for this is the XC course goes backwards up the "cork screw" as well as through the "wet lands". Rode it this morning (which was also my first time through the new "Organ / Angle Grinder", EISH!!! I guess I'll be getting to work late on Fridays, oh well I'll just have to make up for that by leaving early in the afternoon.
  16. I'll beat that, owner of LBS tells you that Coolheat do not have the parts in stock to repair your XTR d?railleur. Only to later forget the conversation took place when confronted by Coolheat!!! One can only guess at the motives.
  17. Interested, although I won't be in SA from the 4th till the 22nd of June.
