  1. Yes they should be DNF'd, but really if this occurs outside of the prize money and outside of the licensed racing categories does it really matter. They cheated, they know it, you didn't and you know that. What is the big issue.
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mudfish I really don't get what the fuss is about.
  3. I lock up my back wheel for a moment while still a safe distance away from pedestrians. This gets them to glance round to see what's up. However it only works on dirt. ;-) Also remember to thank them for making way for you.
  4. Crank Brothers Candies, best pedal I've used.
  5. cyclists not stopping at red robots.
  6. roadie vs mtb?
  7. No contest son! SHRAM wins every time doesn't it? You know it, so do I, however I'm sure there are a bunch of tjops out there prepared to take the bait.
  8. What about SRAM vs Shimano? ......
  9. Huge thumbs up to Chain Reaction. Not only do they have superb pricing but the service is amazing. I loads of personal help from the people there, and my parcel was here in less than a week. Awesome!!! I think the only LBS that can compare is Chris Willemse Jnr.
  10. In my case reducing the calories consumed and increasing the amount burnt. Luckily this option has fringe benefits if done right.
  11. On Sunday I was often baulked on the single track, technical sections and tricky climbs by slower riders. I could have got up set with them. I could have behaved like the average MTB tjop and shouted "Track" at them. However the reality is we all started at the same time and they got to that point in the race in front of me. Why, because I am weak, unfit and slow. No one else to blame but me for not doing the training. idrive I suggest you MTFU, train harder and get to those points first, that way you won't have any issues.
  12. Thug, Lipo's you should get from SJ Andrews in Marlboro, by far the cheapest. As chargers go I'll look around for you if you serious. If you pop buy on the weekend or one evening to collect your 2kg's of fine white powder I can take you through some of your options.
  13. Thug, I would consider a 2 cell Lipo set-up with a BEC regulator from an RC hobby shop to bring the lipo voltage down. You would need to invest in a suitable Lipo charger as well.
  14. Hoggster, I couldn't disagree with you more. Since I've converted to tubeless I've had very little hassles with the tires on my mtb. I used to regularly pick up pinch flats which was a major pain. I also had to run my tire pressures pretty hard which caused the front end of the bike to wash out pretty easily. I think the only mistake you made was trying to fix something that wasn't broken. I only use Stans or Joes sealant, and the only maintanenace I do on the wheels / tires to periodically clean the valve core and top up sealant. I only do this when I notice abnormal preasure loss. I definilty wouldn't ride an MTB any other way.
  15. 2nd edition. Even better than the 1st.
  16. Agreed, got mine in the post last week. Money very well spent.
  17. Thanks Sean and Intern, details passed on.
  18. The Mrs is on leave for the next few weeks and is interested in the ride. Where would one get more details?

  20. What are you up to child of mine? and you need to post it under classifieds with a couch photo
  21. ?and don't switch your competitors Kevin shouldnt of been in the way and when he gets beaten there is always an excuse. As Brandon said there are 2 sides to every story and we only seem to hear Kevins... but?actually in this case' date=' kevin was silent at the time - apart from registering a protest - while brandon was the vocal one.[/quote'] MTN seem to be well versed in the art of protesting.
  22. I must compliment DCM Chrome for their commitment to developing young South African talent. Every rider that I have met has been a great ambassador for the team as well as the sport. well done to everyone involved. Oh, and Brandon, don't take any cr@p from MTN . Mountain biking isn't for sissies.
