  1. PM sent - there is no way I can't win with my team...
  2. Too funny! Peter's daughter is in in my little girl's class - reckons he is considered the black sheep of the family having not followed the established family tradition. You are correct on Robert - his practice is in Morningside I think
  3. + brother no. 4 Robert... Peter is a gastroenterologist....
  4. Rather a question of him answering the questions that keep coming and coming and coming - than him setting up "big PR meetings...."
  5. Just note there are 5 Dr Barrows in toto! 4 brothers and the dad! I think 4 of the 5 are orthopadic surgeons!
  6. 5 years on and a world away with his subsequent development under the guidance of team sky. The guy is incredibly naturally gifted - and even more dedicated and motivated. I can't find a source now but I recall hearing that he has one of the highest VMax's ever tested by the UCI when he was still a Kenyan licenced rider.
  7. Cheap and misleading publicity-seeking from Bike Pure.
  8. Noted! OK now any tips for handling the floating bridge.
  9. Is the path that goes through the tunnel of reeds and then along the banks of the river supposed to be used in both directions? i.e. can you return on this path or are you supposed to cross the river and do the loop I can see on Rouxjies map? We crossed at the floating bridge (interesting...) but signage on the other side all seemed to be pointing back over the bridge so crossed again to avoid colliding ewith oncoming traffic. Then on the other side could see no way back except going presumablyu again against the traffic flow...? Or am I just over-complicating things? (happened to be very quiet when we were there so wasn't an issue)
  10. From Sniff Petrol: That FIA tribunal verdict in full by Sniff Petrol on Friday, June 21st, 2013 http://sniffpetrol.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Paris1930s.jpg Paris, yesterday Justice Malheureusement (chairman of the FIA International Tribunal hearing): Ladies and gentlemen, after much deliberation my colleagues and I have reached a verdict in this hearing. It is our view that, by taking part in the disputed three day tyre testing session in Barcelona, Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team clearly and wilfully acted in breach of articles 1 and 151 of the International Sporting Code. We therefore have no choice but to punish the team to the full extent of our powers. Sir Philip Ecspensyve (Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 legal representative): My client regretfully understands your verdict and certainly hopes it won’t cause Mercedes to decide that they no longer want to participate in Formula 1. Justice Malheureusement: The punishment is as follows; Mercedes is to pay a fine of 100 million dollars and will be stripped of all world championship points accrued… Bernard Ecclestone: [coughs loudly] Justice Malheureusement: Erm… accrued to date in the 2013 seas… Jean Todt: [coughs very loudly] Justice Malheureusement: I’m sorry, I appear to have mis-read my own writing. The punishment accorded to Mercedes F1 is to be told that they are very naughty and to spend the next five minutes looking at their shoes. Furthermore, they will be sent to bed tonight with no supper. Sir Philip Ecspensyve: My client respectfully accepts this punishment. Justice Malheureusement: Good. Oh, and they can’t take part in the forthcoming young driver test day. Sam Bird: [anguished cry]
  11. Dr (Michael) Barrow (sunninghill) sorted me with a similar issue some years ago (after lots of hit and miss with physio's) Edit - when I say sorted me - he diagnosed the issue. Treatment wise he referred me back to physio who then was able to sort it quite quickly - what I liked is he didn't default to surgery even though he is an orthopaedic surgeon...
  12. Perhaps... but if he's leaving as everyone seems to be assuming... ? Either way reckon he would be in with a serious chance if they did back him.
  13. Me too surprising (in a way) that Sky have selected none. makes me think Wiggo will have a bash at the Vuelta...
  14. Unfortunately I don't think Robbie Hunter will make the team this year...
  15. I see the twitter rumour brigade have the knives at the ready for Froome if he "over-performs" on the Alpe...
  16. just enough to form an opinion of your information sources. The hysteria on gates and the vaccines would be funny if it weren't sad.
  17. You and Bob Mugabe subscribe to the same newsletters?
  18. Cheap - only R43.16 per gram
  19. Ah, "they" were from the internet! why didn't you say so! For the record, this is what I posted last time this came up on this same thread, and still represents my feelings:
  20. Oh well, since "they" say - it MUST be true
  21. don't think they will dispute that their product contains GMO maize (just like pretty much every other maize based product in SA does). What they may just take issue with is you putting statements like includes pesticides, will give cancer etc etc etc on their brand on a popular website for their target market! But its all good - go right ahead who am I to dissuade you...
  22. Hope you're prepared to back that up since the law views you in the same way as any other publisher (having just posted this on a public forum)
  23. Nice. Definately on the bucket list!
  24. not that i really disagree with your conclusion, BUT that was early June, and Late July is, well in Late July. I don't for one second think we will see the same 'Berto then that we saw now...
