  1. Brilliant! That way you intimidate and then mentally dominate yourself at the same time!!!! What a rollercoaster of emotions! Its like a Catch 22 but instead of catching 22's you're just catching great training! And people say that indoor training is boring!
  2. This is a grey area but the general concensus is that this is allowed as long as its a Falke sock. If I were you I'd also practice climbing onto the podium and waving. I like to do this too. I built a podium out of polystyrene, wood glue, and toothpicks based on an image of the TDF podium on google images. I started off just climbing onto the 3rd step, and slowly worked my way up to the top step. Be careful of overtraining and make sure you include a rest day in your program
  3. Not sure if myprodol counts as doping. I like to sleep on the top bunk the week before a race to get the benefits of sleeping at a higher altitude. I always check the race regulations before, but I've never seen anything that says this isnt allowed.
  4. its the rats and mice that sink a ship. you should have bet on Froome being clean. dropped in a cauldron as a baby.
  5. Thats negligent parenting.
  6. 15 February 1953 but it only really caught on with the support of Miguel Indurain who was a champion for the movement
  7. I read recently that Froome's mother was doping during pregnancy so that his doping would be super consistent. Didnt want any gaps in his CV. I do appreciate your assesment that the sky team does doping properly. I hate it when people only do something half ar$e.
  8. Yip its unforunate....great place to ride....terrible place to have coffee
  9. I have won the UK lottery an estimated 17 times. I have also got a stash of cash waiting for me in Ghana, and "Mercy" emailed me the other day from Runnersworld and told me she has something very important for me I must just make sure to contact her through her gmail address and "NOT" through the RunnersWorld site. I'm retiring next week
  10. Be sure to strap a GoPro to your head so you can document all this tomfoolery
  11. Last Friday of work with current job (last day on Tues) so I'll definitely have to have a sneaky toot or two. Tomorrow rest and Olympics Sunday long run (no bike in TZ so running it'll have to be)
  12. You can try http://www.dirtpunkmx.com/ I know they do grahics for dirt bikes and not bicycles but I know they do really good work so maybe worth an email just to see if they can help.
  13. So then what sealant should I be using?
  14. really nice looking dog!
  15. Only saw this thread now.....Lego has to be the best toy ever!
  16. Thanks. I did some reading after posting my orginial questions and it looks like you can use UST tyres on non-UST rims as long as you convert them (i.e. tape on rim, sealant, etc)
  17. Thanks guys....will try that combo too. I read some posts that reckon that the race king doesnt offer enough traction at the rear, and others that love the combo so I reckon I'll give it a try for myself.
  18. Ok time for some noob questions on the continental tyres..... 1. I converted the original tyres that came with my bike to tubeless. Will UST tyres work with my rims or are there other adjustments I have to make? 2. What is the difference between the Race King and Mountain King? Looks like tread pattern to me? 3. Am I correct in saying that its standard to run 2.4 in the front and 2.2 in the rear (tyre size)? Thanks
  19. wow....I'm buying some stuff from chainreaction in the near future (brakes)......now thinking I should add some tyres to the order just for future use. With VAT they'll be about R450...thats quite a big difference
  20. Been awhile since I've been in a bike shop in SA.....how much are race king and mountain king going for now? (roughly)
