  1. OMG! that's why the hub's for sale section is full of hardly ridden bikes!
  2. i agree. i'd keep it the way it is. If you going to ride it' date=' which you should being that it is a 'dale. You going to wear out the chainset eventually. Why not remove it and put it away. Turn it into an SS using cheap generic bits and if you ever want to restore it, you have all the bits stowed away somewhere. [/quote'] got two singlespeeds already (three if you count my bmx), so i'd use it just as a retro runaround. aicorner, i reckon, offer your mate R500 bucks, but please find out more about the r100. you got another SS besides the Bikenstein?
  3. Well done for Hamilton... and I'm glad Ron Dennis and McLaren didn't get the constructors'. Bunch of cheaters. Remember the Ferrarigate last year?
  4. hi STM, I'm not sure from the shifter point of view how to convert to only 1 shift instead of 2. but from the FD point of view I'd say just screw the "Low" screw enough to make it stop just above the middle ring. That should be quite simple to do. And even if you leave the shifter as it is it won't be able to shift past the limit adjusted with the screw. I hope this helps.
  5. Hi ox. I had the same dilemma when I bought my latest bike. So yes. you'll need an Octalink specific crank extractor. Unless you want to try with a small 10c coin to have something to push against as someone suggested on another thread posted some time ago.
  6. The BB she's out, finally!!!! Thank you all for the advice.
  7. Thanks Dylan, I was thinking on doing exactly that. I think my local LBS bicycle shop didn't do the job properly the last time, hence the BB is overtightened.
  8. Don't give HR ideas, Punch!
  9. I think I'm going to break a wrist before I'll get this stupid BB out!
  10. Thanks guys, that was my understanding (clockwise). Flippin' thing is mega-tight. I've sprayed some oil and see what happens. Thanks again!
  11. Good morning Does anyone know what direction the BB on the drive side normally unscrews on a MTB? I've been battling for 1.5 hours now with 2 trips to the builders whorehouse to get a tool to give me more leverage and it just doesn't want to budge
  12. They sell styrofoam heads in wig stores?
  13. u r welcome m8!
  14. Ferrari's mistakes affected Massa's results more than Kimi's. He was the only one to blame for his lack of performance.
  15. Found in the vicinity of the mine dump perhaps?
  16. I don't think he'll care.
  17. Here are the possible permutations Hamilton will be champion if: - He finishes fifth or higher - He finishes sixth and Massa is second or lower - He finishes seventh and Massa is second or lower - He finishes eighth and Massa is third or lower - He fails to score and Massa is third or lower Massa will be champion if: - He wins and Hamilton finishes sixth or lower - He finishes second and Hamilton is eighth or lower If the pair are tied on points at the end of Sunday afternoon (which would happen is Massa wins with Hamilton sixth, or if Massa finishes second with Hamilton eighth), Massa would win the title by virtue of more victories (six to Hamilton?s five) or more second-place finishes (three to Hamilton?s two).
  18. ...nothing happening yet, will check again in 1 hour...
  19. Looks bad! I wish u a speedy recovery m8!
  20. I must have missed some of the action. I only rode my bike (when I could)
  21. That's good news, Poenster. I hope they keep it up.
