  1. Neither did the original post as it gave no details. Where was it stolen from, what make, etc? Just sound like an Outsurance salesman doing a Ra-Ra for his company!!
  2. results?
  3. I broke my bone thingy, the old style, but now I fitted one of those rubber coated up market ones. My bike is 2 yrs old and it broke about a year ago. KM on the bike is about 10 000,
  4. Surely if you do it twice, you must pay twice. After all, you get twice the benefit of those doing one lap. Twice the water tables, twice the medical services .... etc! If you go to restaurant and order a second meal you have to pay for it!
  5. Finish Line Cycles in Kemptune Pork have organised rides for road and mtb .... I only do MTB I now of 2 youngsters who got hijacked somewhere near Denel on Atlas rd about a month agoidrive2009-09-17 07:19:50
  6. ........ it was food poisoning!
  7. why do we need numbers for every race. cant csa just email or post a permanent number with our licenses??? Getting to number collections is almost impossible for me for most events!!
  8. No contest .... Pilot Air. The Dart is really just a rebranded Judy i.e. an entry level suspension fork
  9. I would rather buy something second hand that is better specced ......... just my opinion!
  10. Think about it, if a tow bar can't take a 60kg weight of three bikes then you wouldn't be able to even tow a Venter trailer. The ideal loading for a towbar might be 50kg, but this is more to preserve stability whist driving. Any more and the front wheels start getting light. It is perfectly safe to tow a 3000kg trailer (if the car is rated for it) and imagine what sort of weight gets transfered onto the tow ball when going over a speed bump, or simply driving on any national road.
  11. Roof mounted are the worst for fuel consumption and also consider the number of entrances into car parks that have a covered area for guards or carports.
  12. I think on-line shopping is great. I've been doing it for years and now I have a close relationship with my PC, it even knows who I am. I used to drive (or ride) all the way to Finish Line Cycles where I had to talk to the owner (Clint) and have a cup of cofee while I decided what to buy. Service was also good, but I had to take the goods home with me - at least with on-line you don't have to build up a relationship or take your purchases home with you.........
  13. I hate it when slow riders get in my way that's why I won't do lap races or races where are technical sections where riders get off their bikes and cause a bottleneck. Why is it when I get to one of these bottlenecks and just pick my bike above my head and sprint to the front do they shout at me? For heavens sake its a race which means its every man for himself .... win at all costs or go home. Hey okes its not friggin tifddly-winks!
  14. gipraebnam isn't really a cheat .... he's just a bit backwards!!
  15. Got mine from Finish Line Cycles ..... the best lil bike shop in Kemptune Pork!!
  16. spaceboy goes into orbit
  17. proof that manbearpigs cant fly like an ystervark
  18. Here another pic of OPC ..... idrive2009-06-28 12:34:08
  19. ... and so why not post his/her name. Any case that's a bit different to slagging off a major corporate sponsor without putting out their side of the story. I have clients that take 90 days to pay 30 day invoices, but I don't drag their name through the mud. I still say Tiger was way out of line. Please post the name of his shop so I never accidently buy anything from him!
  20. Maybe they didn't pay you coz you're a prick!!! There are adult ways of sorting problems out, but this sure as hell isn't one of them.idrive2009-05-31 02:27:33
  21. A pretty one sided post if you ask me. Posting DCM's reasons for non-payment would give it a more balanced feel?
  22. I like it, but get David into it and maybe ad a touch of nanodyridium to the centre of the circle - I think it would make it so it doesn't look like a deformed sperm.
  23. Cape Town?s Integrated Rapid Transport System: Media Site Tour MEDIA RELEASE NO. 267/ 2009 07 MAY 2009 Members of the media were taken on a guided tour of the City of Cape Town?s key Integrated Rapid Transit (IRT) system construction sites this morning (07 May). ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah THEN WE GET TO THIS GEM OF INFO......... Milner Road, Otto du Plessis Intersection Here the IRT lanes will turn off the R27 (from the Milnerton side) left onto Milner Road, where they will proceed along the old Railroad Reserve towards the N1. At this site it is possible to get a good view of the construction that is underway. Here a cycle lane, planting lane as well as IRT lanes going in both directions are under construction. Due to the Milnerton Informal Traders trading on this site over weekends the area for the cycle lane and planting lane (for vegetation) has been made narrower, allowing an extra 1.3m for the traders. The R27 Along the R27 it is possible to see the IRT trunk and cycles lanes under construction. In two small sections between Boundary Road and Woodbridge Island, and along the Milnerton Lagoon there is not enough room for IRT bus lanes in both directions, for this reason there will only be an IRT bus lane South bound, towards the city. The rest of the route will allow for IRT lanes in both directions as well as the cycle lanes and a planting lane separating cyclists and pedestrians from the traffic lanes.
  24. Just support a local bike shop rather than trying to beat the system. Also have you seen the price for overweight baggage..... huh?
  25. It seems there was another armed attack on cyclists behind the R21 on Sat..... 'fraid I don't have more details.
