    Saddles?

No Problems. I am 80kg and Ride a Carbon Railed Selle Italia. The only issue I had was replacing the clamp on my alien seatpost because Selle Italia changed the shape and size of all their rails. But strength is no issue.

    Saddles?

Dude, I've ridden Rolls, Turbo, Flight, SLR, Gel Flow, Genuine Gel, Arionne, Gobi and Concor ...my mates have ridden the same if not more...(in white and lots of colours:) ) Loved the Arione, really rate it. Didn't Like the SLR (any model) but my Tandem partner swears by it. Truth, go find a saddle that works... I ride a Carbon Railed Flight on the Road (after riding a Arionne for two seasons, but jeez those saddles are expensive now:( ), A Geniune Gel Flight on the Tandem and a Gobi on the MTB. Got a spare Flight in the Cupboard and a Pantani LTD Flight just cause it's so cool...comfortable hunting.
  4. By the way, back to the thread the TIME, RIDLEY and Cannondale are wickedly good looking, FOCUS looks incredibly light and Racey...Specialized, well they Look Specialized...LOOKS are always beautiful bikes...strange no italian favourites De ROSA and COLNAGO or Mr Merckx. before I get nailed i know Merckx is Belgian and not Italian!101SCC2009-01-28 14:37:18
  5. Hey Piesang this is not directed at you, but jeez another great thread turns into an Armstrong fest...enough already, the guys bike is the ugliest there...who cares when he last raced. If you want a lesson in great Brand Building Mr Armstrong go introduce yourself to Valentino Rossi (I doubt he'll charge you a R1,000,000 for the hour) he'll teach you a thing or two about image (He owns 46 and THE DOCTOR) there's a real champion.
  6. white is the new black! Saw a De Rosa on the weekend Silver (chrome) beautiful...raw carbon is so last season....
  7. Yup, the have a standard 'C' version. Not sure if that's them but they do have a carbon clincher.
  8. liquigas cannondale thanks...but with the boras!
  9. mmm, nice bike. don't like the ERGO bars...
  10. ja, no more grand tours but a number of classics and semi classics. last year lombardy and amstel, very good me thinks.
  11. He is also the guy behind como bike shop, willier etc. That's why they are all connected.
  12. ...what would all the CSC guys do. No kit n bikes. Complete overhaul... Specialized and Saxo Bank / IT (oops, nope Just Saxo Bank)
  13. Obiously I'm not going to Tell A Ballan at the Giro when I see him that the Rainbow jersey he is wearing is Taboo...
  14. IMO, reward jersey's are out. Official Yellow, Pink, Polka Dot, Green, Rainbow etc... All the rest are great. If you want to support a team, what better way. The Kit manufacturers make their investment back from team sponsorships by selling replica kit. Plus it's usually pretty good quality kit.
  15. VETS (John Moss & Shortlegs) Shortlegs, Good to see you wearing the shoes of Champions (SIDI) even if the socks are specialized I'm leaving now...
  16. No issue with comfort, It's the inside that is poor quality, plus that damn boa is the worst thing I have ever used. The toe area of the shoes we bought all collapsed, Specialized said it had happened to a whole batch which is why they refunded me. Bought 3 pairs returned 3 pairs. Road shoes are comfy but IMHO not as good QUALITY as the SIDI's I've ridden. Expensive too for such a poor quality showing. As I said IMHO.
  17. I think I'll disagree I had the Specialized Road and MTB of the above version, I sent the MTB back for a refund, so did my team mate. Now we Ride SIDI EAGLE CARBON...best move I've ever made, Just ordered some SIDI GENIUS CARBON 6.6, so watch the Sale adds, gonna sell those Specialized things as soon as my SIDI's arrive...hate putting those shoes on in the morning. Their Helmet (D2) is a winner though.101SCC2009-01-06 00:32:48
  18. Hey Black J, longest I've waited is 10 days from the order being released. Shortest is 4 days! Only buy in stock items or you can wait 2 weeks for the order to be released while they wait for out of stock orders. Free Shipping is door to door, paid shipping always ends up at the PO, pain in the $ss!
  19. Nope, duty on clothing, shoes and complete bikes.
  20. Lemme tell you, that I wasn't there this morning, I was riding west. And no I'm not chicken sh*t to admit anything...I take rsposibility for all my actions. When I ride, I ride safely. If those GROWN MEN want to ride in a bunch and follow the first guy through then let them. If you don't like a group or the way they ride then don't ride with them, If you were not the front guy at the robot then you'll never know his thoughts, he didn't hold a gun at anybodies head, and I don't see one of the guys from the bunch this morning writing on this thread complaining...about THE FRONT GUY. until someone does get hit...and then everyone will moan and shout and scream and blame the motorist...who, in this case, is not at fault... pls understand - the purpose of this thread was not to persecute anybody...just to make it known that riding at the front of a bunch comes with a fair whack of responsibility... Very often, newcomers to a group will not know the dynamics of that bunch...a few years ago i joined a bunch on a route i was not familiar with...they did the same thing, gunning through robots left and right...if i had known they would ride like that i would not have joined them. Unfortunately it comes down to so much more than the perceptions of the guys in the group, and the perceptions of other cyclists - its the motorists perceptions of bunches like this that worries me. why should they tolerate or respect us if we cant follow the rules of the road? the very same rules we are very quick to point out when a motorist is at fault? I hear what you are saying and in principle agree with your views, the only area we differ is in the role of the Front Guy, the Group as a whole takes responsibility for how they ride. People have a right to ride with whatever group they want, as the guy said about the club that bans you, cool, if that's the club you are looking for. Likewise I know a lot of guys happy at the Lab. I don't condone the style of the bunch this morning, but the front guy doesn't control the bunch. Enjoy te rest of your day. Cheers

  22. I realise that, I ride with that bunch often and there has never been a time I've felt unsafe passing through robots. I think the last part was subjective that's all...those guys know the route well, they ride it often, the guy is from the EC, at 6 in the morning P**sed off because the guys were riding 6 abreast (the whole road), think maybe he went off on a tangent...just my opinion.
  23. Did someone get hit? How do you know the front guy took a gamble, where you riding in front with him... I understand your frustration with the bunch riding six abreast but i think the last part of your thread was a tad subjective towards the guy at the front...just my view, I wasn't there though.
