I had a crash last week. Cracked my helmet. Bell have replaced it under their accident warranty. I only have to pay a third of the price! Peace of mind....look at a Bell

My training has come to a complete halt. My knee decided that it has had enough and now i have to stay off of the bike until i recover.

Hi Andrew Only a pleasure. It is great to meet fellow hubbers on route. Sorry to hear you ended up in the medic tent. Glad you made it though. A huge thanks must go to the medics as you say, as well all those who helped at the water tables and the marshals. I have never been so happy to see water tables in a race before, they were life savers. Keep well!

I have also removed mine from my bike. I always forget to unlock it and then suffer the consequences on the long down hills.

The 105km was a tough race yesterday. My bike computer showed the temp at 44 at one stage! Many people i have spoken to say they wont be doing it again because of the heat. It's a pitty because it is a nice route.

My bikes are also kept safe at night. I hate paying for something every month that i might never need, but when things happen that are out of your control, insurance is a good thing to have! Look into it, wont do you any harm. I can afford R200+ every month but I probably cant afford to replace a R35k bike at a drop of a hat.
