  1. One of our new Carbon Hartail BH's came with a Terralogic Fork from Fox, and my word, it's the bomb. Don't think, just ride... perfct for the sort of tracks we ride on. Takes a bit of getting used to though... like not being able to load before a jump... almost had a big spill down the spruit when i first used it
  2. Fair enough... buiness is business, but where is the consistancy? Ya there is peak and off peak, but there seems to be no set amount per time, it's simply opportunistic money making... 'Got a captive market, let's rip them off' seems to be there motto here. Poeple making money out of cycling?? Well everyone but the customer (sometimes the customer even makes money though). Unless i have missed something in the past few years and cycling is now a charity hobby??
  3. Dean @ C-Lab JHB got me on a set of Maxxis CrossMark LUST for last year's Epic. From one month before Epic, to 5 months after, no punctures... Good advice and a good tyre!
  4. ? Wolfie... But you are white!??https://www.bikehub.co.za/smileys/smiley18.gif" height="17" width="17" align="absmiddle" alt="Ouch" />https://www.bikehub.co.za/smileys/smiley2.gif" height="17" width="17" align="absmiddle" alt="Wink" /> How's this...? It's the stiffest bike i have ever sprinted on, but the most comfortable... ? ... and wont it be uncomfortable? ? the couch will be better
  5. It comes in red, like this
  6. Stiffness, areodynamics and weight are the main reasons for it... Intergrated seat posts are very popular on the monocoque designs now, but 'tube-to-tube' tehcnology seems to be creeping into the market. Allowing frames to be as stiff with less weight...
  7. Stuff on the bike is straight forward. Here is other stuff that helps me: 1. Gym work - muscle balance must be good (quads, hamstrings and hip flexors) 2. Plymetrics (Jumps, stairs, etc) - NB only after at least a month in the gym. 3. Core/abs - Think of your core like a seat post. If it was not hard, your legs would have to keep you up and move you forward. If your core is strong/good, your muscles that do all the movement can do a better job... 4. Running - it does help keep the elasticity in your muscles.
  8. 1. Get to the front of the bunch 2. Don't brake *NB - Don't do point 2 before point 1 Ok, sorry. Try cleaning your rims with petrol or something like that. There might be a thin layer of muck on them which makes them squeeeeeek
  9. Tell your boss you are going to leave in search of a career in Cycling. Nice thing is you don't need to worry about riding with lights... How those car head lights working mate?? And you don't even join us for a cuppa this morning...? what's with that?
  10. Allow us??? Thanks, that is so nice of your guys... lol
  11. LOL... white is in! Ask Pantani. It's the visible signs of roadies off-road...
  12. Anyone know where you can get these in SA?
  13. Oh, ya, to answer the question... i race and train on the same wheels (full carbon clincher) but when i do need to change back to my ali rims, these pads hold up just fine. Not ideal, but fine.
  14. As a few of you know now, we are the agents for Corima in SA. Corima is a world class brand and have been making carbon wheels since the early 1980's. No marketing BS, have a look at the info on this link: http://www.corima.com/gb/produits/accessoires/default.cfm?family=accessoires_patins I know shops that only buy from us, for all their carbon rims. Corima pads need to be good, as they make a full carbon clincher and tubluar wheel for the etire range... PM me if you need any further info.
  15. White is back in a big way... seems odd though, given things in SA Ask Pantani... Mr. Bling himself
  16. This model will be available from the middle of March, maybe sooner... Need one? Want one?... then i am the guy to chat to. PM for full details, specs, prices, etc...
  17. You looking at around R64 000 for the full record option. That come with Croima Aero's, full record, FSAplasma bars, etc, etc... and will weight 6.5kgs standard spec. AG2r have to add a little weight for the season. It has a the Nanotech frame, which is similar to the G3 which i am on... last year's flag ship.
  18. As soon as we can get our hands on these, there will be a stream of them on their way to all you folks... This means of course i will be on one of these, the 2008 BH G4 - AG2r Team Bike. What do you guys think?
  19. Like night and day? seriously?

    MTB Lube

Squirt... heard it's good stuff. But... shhhhh, i use Q8 (silicon lube) fro any hard ware. Same concept, just cheaper. Cleaning your chain - Q20 - alway's used it.
  21. For those of you who have seen the advert on TV, where a bloke pulls a bike rack from the bumper of his Corsa... well it turns out it's real... Let's hear it for Opel! What a cool idea... You can get it as a feature on the car:
  22. Got a pair and i am very happy with them... good value for money pedals
  23. Very cool man... what a classic looking frame! Many happy miles on your new machine
