  1. Schleck claims he is not paid, talks about a new team, tacks get thrown on the road but he is so far back they are all used up by the time he gets there, then he's trying to lose weight and gets pinged for a banned substance? I smell the hand of the hog here. After all one of the charges levelled against him is intimidation. And the entire world knows he's a bully....cross him and your career is over! And it's suggested by some that FroomeDog should go ride in the RSN circus!
  2. Frank's defence? Hope Solo, US footbal goalkeeper, tested positive for a diuretic Canrerone last month. Same category in WADA code. She got acquitted Hope Solo didn’t know the diuretic was in the premenstrual medication she took. Therefore she got acquitted and goes to London.
  3. Yes. Half a bar each to Schleck and same to Spartacus. Fuglsang suing them for 150k
  4. I guess he can kiss the half a bar JB owes him goodbye.
  5. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/uci-announces-adverse-analytical-finding-for-frank-schleck-at-tour-de-france Diuretic found in urine sample taken on July 14 Earlier today, the UCI advised Luxembourger Fränk Schleck (RadioShack-Nissan) of an Adverse Analytical Finding in a urine sample collected from him at an in-competition test at the Tour de France on July 14, 2012. If only they had been this vigilant when the Texan peed.
  6. Adverse analytical finding on July 14. Story to follow. Oh dear. JB strikes again.
  7. This article is worth reading about the approach at Sky http://www.cyclesportmag.com/features/tim-kerrison-the-man-behind-bradley-wiggins’-tour/
  8. You're right about this tour. Evans and Nibali have again preferred to attack only at the summit or on the descent so neither FroomeDog or Twiggo have really been tested for any length of time. I can't think Brailsford would have chosen W over F to lead the team if F was so much stronger.
  9. I reckon Twiggo would be able to spin that 11 - 36 XT cassette he has for the hills at a higher pace for longer than FroomeDog could sustain in short sharp attacks. Twiggo would just grind FroomeDog down. Not so muchslow and steady as fast and steady.
  10. Remember this time trial?
  11. Tour has been won 3 or 4 times by the guy who got the lead on day 2 and once by the leader from day 1. But not recently. But a team has defended for longer than this year. 4 or 5 times. The swimming coach has revolutionised they way they train and peak. No longer peak and drop, just peak. No longer race to train but train to race. And being an Aussie I think he might be a bit more ethical dope wise than some of the old cycling bunch. AIS has really instilled a different culture in Aussie sportsmen. And then I might wake up to cold coffee.
  12. It's probably fair to say LeMond was right, from about 89 the peloton discovered EPO and that was it. You either used or you were not able to keep up. All the front guys used EPO until the tests were developed in time for the Sydney Olympics in 2000. How hard is it to use if you know you cannot get caught and sanctioned? Sit out for a few weeks because you are over 50%, what a joke.
  13. Not enough pictures to the words in the evidence? Draw pictures guys, he understands those?
  14. I think you're being a tad harsh on the peloton. Far fewer big attacks as the guys are just poked. Last 2 days they have just sat up and toured, can't remember that from 1996 through to 2005. Do you think they are just pretending to be stuffed so people like me have sympathy for them and believe them to be clean? Brailsford through a long career, and very successful on the track, has never been involved in a doping story. Why would he start now?
  15. Lovely, more pictures... Funnily enough, Tex was caught doping. Fact. He then produced a dodgy doctor certificate written post the test to get out of it. Coincidently the substance he was caught using forms part of the USADA charges. And not for use on his bum either.
  16. Lucky admin recognised the needs of some of our fellow hubbers by adding animated icons for when words fail...
  17. Doesn't really matter if he has or not - he's been found guilty. Interestingly there was a bit of speculation around in 2006 when Operation Puerto broke that his blood was involved but his name was never mentioned officially. Seeing the Spanish Federation batting for him in the steak case one has to wonder why he escaped then.
  18. I was watching a few videos on bicycling.com this morning while spinning. What struck me was how many Aussies there are in the tour. We have 2 guys, they must have about 9 left in 2012 In 2010 there were 11, 2011 there were 6. SA Cycling is really doing a K@K job for our guys.
  19. I think the issue is we all know the Texan doped but it's his denial that gets under the skin.
  20. Rest day hours to kill? These ads will keep you entertained better than PnP ever could.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cxe7mPJnYM&feature=BFa&list=PLB177889D2ACF8D32 Not Open Plan Office Suitable
  21. He has been advised by his doctors to avoid the tour as he is not allowed to jump up and down. He has had brain surgery to remove his excess IQ so he can read and reply to Nokia phone threads.
  22. Taller and slimmer Very narrow bands in poll, how about some accurate choices?
