  1. Posted that earlier, he was way lucky Twiggo crashed. Lucky enough to land a $3.3 million contract with BMC. Which is why he is k@k this year. Big mistake that. They really do just promote the riders from the countries they broadcast to, listen to how often they say RSN are having a great tour. Bollocks, RSN are having an awful tour with no GC contenders at the start and less at the end. How can all that talent not have a GC rider? But they do have the Devil himself JB. Coincidence that AC left him and had a positive test for something he knew nothing about. The FS, same thing? Revenge theory?
  2. I was expecting FroomeDog!

    Sani2C Entry

Sold out. All 3 events. In a few days. So still not high enough. Like the Epic, started way too cheap and then needed bigger increases to make it worthwhile for the owner.
  4. Steady 'Dale, you'll have to save that boner for the rest of the afternoon....
  5. Every minute of every race that is streamed, yes. Including the minor ones midweek.... Cricket test? Pull rank. Don't your colleagues have any sense of decency?
  6. Yeah, he rode 7 more tours than I did! Even if he only finished 5 more than I did. And won the GB Nationals. I suppose after being exposed to David Duffield (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Duffield_(sports_commentator)) and Stephen Roche any other commentary seems mundane. Thank goodness for streaming. Otherwise Cav et al would not be able to compare the current borefest to the giro and vuelta as StupidSport would rather waste my money on golf, tennis and rugby.

  8. I used to dream of Jan being able to do this, with Vino and Andreas, year after year against the Texan. Then in 2006 the tour was set up for Jan, Tex had retired. And what happened? OperaciĆ³n Puerto exploded and Jan was pulled from the tour on the Friday before the start.... Marco Pantani was the last great attacker and that was in 1998. His subsequent efforts came to nought, he blew well before the end. But in 2008 Carlos Sastre rode away from everyone on the Alpe. One attack and he got yellow. Never forget the comments made by PnP, what are CSC doing, their tactics are nowhere etc. I'll find the clip. Since then AC has been able to but he is a doper so it doesn't count.
  9. Normally when they fail to make the time cut-off on a stage, can stay in the race but with a points penalty. Tyler Farrah lost the Lattern Rouge yesterday to a guy who missed the cut-off by 4 seconds. Due to the difficulty of the satge and the heat and that he fell asleep waiting for someone to attack sky, he was allowed to continue today. Paul Sherwin claim to fame: Twice missed the cut-off riding alone but was allowed to continue. Once he fell in the 1st km of a mountain stage and rode alone for 6 hours up 4 mountain passes, accompanied only by a motorbike outrider. Missed the cut-off by 23 minutes but they had mercy on him and made him start the next day. Pity it didn't improve his commentary.

  11. Why not Zook? Indeed why not? Because you either race for GC or you race for stages, ie the GC guys let you win. And as we saw yesterday, no one is strong enough to drop Twiggo AND front up again the next day.
  12. A good read on why you all think the tour is boring http://www.cyclesportmag.com/news-and-comment/stage-16-analysis-voeckler-is-king-of-the-queen-stage/ I found the tour extremely boring 1999-2005 but I knew that was because I disliked the Texan and he kept winning. Maybe it's boring this year because you fancied the weaker guy?
  13. As in red blood cell boosted by EPO marker? We all seem to forget that Wiggins crashed early on last year, well before anything got going. It's my opinion that Evans had an easier ride last year because of the absence of Twiggo, he knew AC had to race clean because of the steak thing and that he easily had the beating of the other GC contenders in the TT, so all he had to do was sit on their wheels. The one day AS got away, Evans has to chase, and he did, knowing that if he pulled AS back he would own him in the TT. This year the Sky train has just ridden everyone except Nibali off their wheels. Too much pressure for too long. Evans would have battled with the same pace last year.
  14. If only all the other GC riders were stronger we wouldn't have Sky being able to control like they do. Hopefully ASO will learn from this procession and reduce TT to only one a year and cut out all the descent finishes, have more mountain top finishes where the best guys can give it their all. Or lose.
  15. Checking out that dude Sagan....wondering if what the podium girls say about him is true.
  16. Not you. Unless you also bore us with "which are best" type freds

  18. See the Chuck Norris thread. Oh no, hang on, the high IQ guy might be there. I like the cycling threads, he never seems to visit these. Maybe he is brighter than us, he knows he knows nothing about bikes. Which is why he bores us with all his other cr@p. Anyway, I think Cav must be having a bad day to write that sort of k@k about the tour being boring. Maybe he prefers criteriums? Wham bam thank you maam?
  19. Been looking forward to this one for a long time. Not enough mountain top finishes in 2012 edition of TDF. If they reel in the breakaway before the summit I see a real chance FroomeDog will get his 2nd stage. Hell, Evans might even take some juice tonight and attack!
  20. Despite your crazy love affair, SwissVan, you're ok
  21. I think today wiggins showed why he is the leader of the Race. And of Sky. Nibali's final attack had FroomeDog nailed, Wiggo upped the watts and sat up when he had pulled FroomeDog back onto Nib's wheel.
  22. As a wit tweeted after this statement: Someone just ordered a hit on AS
  23. Wow, that's amazing. No more offensive little pictures from Lance Loving Losers. Just like that.
  24. Pray tell Lucky Luke, where do i find this magic button? Or the block button so I can choose who to read and avoid the pre schoolers and their pictures.
  25. In UCI's words: To give him time to prepare his defence.
