  1. That's weak. Even by your doper loving standards.
  2. Did Big Tex not have the opportunity to partake in the whole process and see "the entire file" in hearings? Or was that just us all dreaming? Why would Tim Henman and the cheating scum have any right to dictate what USADA can or can't do after deciding to tell them to piss off and do their best? Is this maybe the first sign that this ban is going to sit and maybe, just maybe, the realisation is hitting that USADA are not going to be bullied in doing their duty to clean athletes. Bring on the Johan Bruyneel hearings. 9X winning Tour de France - ex Sports director.
  3. So my dislike of Big Tex is finally explained in clinical terms...at last.
  4. Yeah, you too can go on and win stuff if you dope yourself and your team to the gills.... How many millions exactly? Or are you referring to the money he took from them? Read this article, pretty clear: http://www.cyclismas.com/2012/10/making-it-stick-why-the-armstrong-cases-turned-out-the-way-they-did/ Making it “stick” – why the Armstrong cases turned out the way they did
  5. At a cadence of 123. Wow, you are hard. Imagine if you get a 1x11 you'll be able to be even harder as you'll be able to run a 44 on the front and keep the same bottom end gearing. Which means a tjop end of 61.5kph at 123 cadence.
  6. Now that would be cooler if it included a dropper....but I suspect Bob would have no idea what a dropper is.
  7. Even if his conscience is clear. Says more about his morals than his innocence. Here is comment from the former head of UCI anti-doping, when they actually caught a few people! Gripper: Cycling cannot move forward until Lance issue is resolved UCI must support USADA in Armstrong case Former UCI anti-doping chief Anne Gripper, who played a major role in the introduction of the blood passport system as well as a number of doping cases during her tenure from 2006 to early 2012, says she is satisfied with the USADA investigation, charges, subsequent lifetime ban and stripping of Lance Armstong’s seven Tour de France titles. Gripper had remained silent in regard to USADA’s case against Armstrong and the UCI’s position until recently. She has since voiced her confidence in USADA and more specifically its chief executive Travis Tygart’s ability to manage such a case. While Gripper is unfamiliar with the full details of the case and was unwilling to comment on Armstrong’s verdict specifically, she commended USADA on their structure and reputation. "I really can’t speak about [Armstrong's] guilt. I don't have enough information," she told The Sydney Morning Herald. "But I trust USADA's ability to investigate a case like that absolutely, implicitly. USADA is one of the best resourced, best set-up national anti-doping organisations in the world. I know Travis Tygart personally. I would trust anything they decided was correct." Gripper was further confident that no allegations would surface in USADA’s report that involved her time spent with the UCI however, UCI anti-doping panel member Robin Parisotto noted that if the governing body became embroiled in any claims by USADA, that it would be logical for the parties involved, including Pat McQuaid to stand down while proceedings took place. "Any organisation that is the subject of allegations such as these... in normal circumstances you would probably step down while an investigation was happening, not be driving it," he said. "You need to be impartial... [or] it will never go away. Pending what comes out of this report, if those allegations are substantiated to a degree, the investigation would have to take place and all parties would have to step aside," said Parisotto to Sydney Morning Herald. Gripper was keen to point out that it will take some time before the sport of professional cycling is completely in the clear and that the Armstrong issue needs to be resolved before it can truly move forward. "I don't think cycling is completely out of the woods yet. I think the sport is on a pretty stable footing now and that there is enough behavioural change. [but] it's [about] letting more time pass and more distance pass between cycling as it is now and cycling as it was then," she said. "There will still be little eruptions coming from the past. To be honest, the biggest one of those is Lance. Until the Lance issue is resolved one way or the other, the sport can't move forward." http://www.cyclingne...name=0&ns_fee=0
  8. Perfect before a hard Saturday ride http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwKl-Ng084U
  9. Swiss, this poll is hardly surprising. Big Tex had just broken his worldwide sports ban to grace their event, he has over 3 million fanthings on twitter who no doubt lap up his propaganda AND the septics turned up to watch him race. I'm surprised they found anyone against him. A fairer question might have included a question like "Do you follow him on Twitter or Facebook?" and given us the results of the yesses and the nosses. He has also grown a bit of a belly.
  10. It is doubtful they would win in a non Swiss court. The actions are more about them being able to say they (Fat Pat and the other Crook) have taken action to defend their good name than about the money. They are petrified that the flood gates will open if they stop playing hardball. The best part is they use the UCI's money to defend their own names. Can't lose really. But I think an English judge would require a higher level of proof of the damage done.
  11. It's more than just the guys who want to cheat. It's the guy who doesn't want to be a thief but can't feed his family if he doesn't steal. There are plenty stories coming out now that the bad guy has been put away of very talented guys who left the sport because they were not competitive clean. People like Mercer and our own George. So the "They all do it, so what" falls down at the first hurdle. Do we run two leagues for dirty and clean? My view is we shouldn't force the lowest common denominator onto others, we should rather aim at the highest common denominator. Which is why zero tolerance is the only way. Of crime. And of doping. USADA state that they are taking action for the clean and innocent athletes of the world. This I support totally.
  12. the capacity to know everything that there is to know. is an Know all? And here we thought it was actually The V. Roman numerals et al. How disappointing.
  13. Crime appears to be out of control in SA. Why not just legalise actions that are currently crimes because so many people are stealing, robbing, mugging, raping and murdering? Or what am I missing? Are you seriously that brain dead? Back on topic I would ask TH about the young guys who were forced to follow the team line or get fired. Why not ask him specifically about David George who was on USPS in 1999/2000? That is a local interest angle about a hugely talented guy who got chewed up and spat out by the evil of doping.
  14. start any debate about other road users and you will get the same response. Try speeding taxis, roadworks, right lane hoggers as a few examples. As a nation we bitch too much about stuff that we have no tolerance for. Sad. Exactly what law? There is absolutely no law to be found in the National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996 that prohibits cyclists from riding legitimately in a traffic lane, no matter what the speed of that lane is. Other than on a motorway. There is also no mention whatsoever of obstructing the free flow of traffic by a slower moving vehicle. And a bicycle is defined as a vehicle in the Act. I, as a cyclist, have every right to use the whole lane when I'm riding by law (NRT act 93 of 1996). I also have the right to overtake other bicycles on their right side but I don't have the right to ride next to them chatting. But the fact that I try ride on the left of the lane is my consideration for other road users. Not because I have to. I also have the right to ride in the lane I'm in without being hooted at aggressively or being intimidated by idiots who don't know what my rights are. Perhaps you should retake your licence, you clearly have no understanding of the law you quote so freely to back up your bigoted view of cyclists and their law breaking activities.
  15. They delivered a QR frame instead of a 142x12 frame? They took the money? Around R3k - R4k could have fixed this problem weeks ago if CWC had simply bought a shock at Omnico and fitted it to the frame they supposedly have in stock?
  16. Now that is a pomp. Let us know about stock...
  17. How hard is it to click on the classifieds tab?
  18. What a relief that they still do this right. Talking of speedy delivery, has Delilah's Tallboy been sorted yet?
  19. Nice to see some pride taken in the finished product. Care to list the spec so we can drool some more?
  20. I do believe it happened. It would be nice if the facts were presented correctly as it gives our fears more credibility. Maybe we should set a few ambushes yo see if we can shake these scumbags loose. And then let them resist a citizens arrest.....
  21. This sort of inconsistency in the various reports is what leads to urban legends.....and feeds the security industry with their alarmist "WARNING WARNING you must have armed response and pay us money" I do find it strange that the first report posted by KANDUI was posted BEFORE the alleged incident had taken place in the report posted by NixM. The local neighbouhood watch sending out these reports should check their facts.
  22. You cannot buy a standard SantaCruz Tallboy built up in this country. Or world wide. Dragon only imports frames, with a shock attached. So why all the BS every time a certain dealer builds one?
  23. Ok, so to get this right we follow the time line..... So let's get this right. CWC sell you a frame as the latest with 142x12 after you specifically asked and over 2 weeks later you're still waiting? Now the shock is to blame? Well I have news for you, Omnico are sitting on tons of the newest CTD shocks, RP23 that came with the frame they delivered is no longer available from Fox/Omnico in SA. Tell them to hop on the phone to Omnico, speak to Russel and get a CTD. It's called customer service. Still feeling the same? You have patience dear daughter, your Mom wouldn't put up with that **** from CWC. Reading this thread really just reinforces how bad this mob are.
  24. Easiest way to get rich. Become a sport administrator in a sport that hands out favours/expenses/venues/hosting opportunities. Apart, of course, of being a comrade. I wonder if Fat Pat will survive in the same way that mad Bob has lasted far longer than a sane man would think possible? Ostracised by most but still in power.
