  10. @ solo - I can't quote post on the hub mobile site but I did the bloukrans jump back in 2006 Price has shot up since 06 :S last I heard I think its almost doubled.
  11. Look what happens when we cut down too many trees - This is terrible! Global warming is one thing, but scroll down and look at what might happen if we continue to clear our forests! We have to stop cutting down trees! This is getting serious!
  12. @ Dizzy - snap! I used to be a swimmer back in the olden days... I def don't breath on every third or fourth stroke...more like six or up... But that what works for me. Guess from my sprinting days. I used to also be able to swim just over 50m in the pool. My downfall is swimming straight, I'm terrible at that. I messed up my midmar swim by swimming all over the place.
  13. Hahahaha, smart a$$ ;P
  14. I see a lot of people on here suffer from high bp...I'm the opposite. Mine normal then just randomly drops from time to time...one stage it was very low and my dr had me on meds for ten days to try bring it back up. The sister who I used to work with, always maintained those home bp machine is more of an "indication" and not a true reading. Avoid those ones at gym. I checked mine BEFORE gym and I read mine as "high" o.O psssht. We know more or less what high bp is caused by.... Stress/sodium but low....? Anyhoo, I had mine checked about two weeks ago - 110/60 Remember Hubbers, high bp is known as THE SILENT KILLER so don't F around with it, get it checked out if its high.
  15. I've been getting up at 430am since Monday...so far so good... I pack everything the night before which is a biatch of note cause I have to pack work clothes, shower stuff, fooooooood and set of gym clothes for afternoon gym. I land up walking out the door with 5 bags!!!! Also help that I have a mate waiting for me.... Plus I place my cell far away, so that I have to get up and out of bed to switch it off.
  16. Eh, i don't know...just seemed harder for me and i checked my mates times from last year shova - they took longer to complete Tour compared to Shova. Anyhoo, i may sing a different tune after shova 2012 ;p
  17. Boys will be boys
  18. That what sweets are there for Place about 200 jelly tots and chow one for every lap. PS. I don't do that but i heard one of my mate does it. I count in 10s...10 normal freestyle...10 with a noodle between my legs...10 with a board and then repeat about 3 times. I get bored, so i need to mix things up a bit...plus it does help to keep track of number of laps. Ok, back on topic.
  19. Taken on Friday at Virginia Beach.
  20. Tell me what she thinks of it...it has very low carbs compared to the others but ick taste icky. I'm thinking of trying out Herbelife.
  21. Hahahaha, I thought I was being cheated on when I opened Biogen Glutamine tub...seems like a common thing for Biogen. I was using it as a meal replacement - lunch. Dude, chocolate one is siff tasting - taste like crushed pills.
  22. Oh, the payment will be...you must allow me to wheel suck you! EDIT: sorry, no edit option on the mobile site.
  23. I'm sure i/my family will be able to help out if anyone staying in Durbs for the race. Or I can collect race numbers and courier it up or whatever. I don't mind helping out to whoever traveling far for this race. I plan on doing the shova this year. Just inbox me closer to the time.
  24. Eish :S sorry. Next time just ride into them! You'll no doubt still walk away sore and bike a mess but at least those idiots will learn the hard way - they'll also be bruised and hopefully their bikes a bit of a mess.
  25. Thanks It was a nice sore wake-up call. I'm eager to get back on the bike. Hoping to do a ride on Sunday from Umhlanga to Ushaka and back. I may just be tempted to sit on a pillow though... ;p
