  1. I neglected the most important part. Are they on the same bikes? We all know that power to weight is irrelevant when riding different wheel sizes
  2. I can only answer in these terms: If a 70kg rider pushes out 300W of power, an 80kg rider would have to push out an additional 40W of power in order to keep up. Pure power to weight ratio. In real life, you can run a small globe off that. In terms of a distance and time, I can't help you. Maybe some of the smarter people can.
  3. Have a look at the ZTR Arch / Arch EX's. Max weight is in the region of 105kg's Edit: And if you have them built up, make sure you use a good wheel builder
  4. Yip. We had one of those in an A380 flight from Dubai to Manchester. Pilot cocked it up, pulled up and circled again. Got a standing ovation when he put it down at the second attempt
  5. So he guestimates the quote and then downgrades the service in order to not make a loss. And this is my fault how?
  6. So if I was quoted R400 - R500 (and paid the amount) for a courier and then the item was sent via the PO, I actually have a leg to stand on? I'd honestly prefer not to go this route, but right now I'm the one that has to shell out for a new bike, whilst the seller is completely unaffected.
  7. Fanks, better get my but in gear then
  8. So is race pack collection at Cycle Lab or PFC FPC?
  9. The Hi-Fi Pro that I bought (that went AWOL) had a non-G2 Rockshox fork, so I did quite a bit of research on it. Your local option would be to walk into Cycle Lab and ask them to get you a fork, making you take a nice R5k-R7k shower. Or you could get lucky and find one on eBay, but who knows how long it might take.
  10. I've heard of quite a few people that's replaced the G2 fork with a non-G2 to make the handling a touch slower
  11. Tacx based on what it says on the toolbar
  12. Right now I have an entry...but no bike! Gonna have to phone a friend
  13. Thanks a mill, appreciate it!
  14. I asked for it to be sent by courier or Speed Services, the sender decided Post Office. I even phoned and asked him about it, but he said that he's never had a problem with them before
  15. I bought a bike from a person based in Uitenhage on the 17th of May and it was posted up using the SAPO. I've been tracking the item religiously and when it didn't arrive on time I started hassling the Post Office. After numerous calls without any action from their side, I finally posted on Hello Peter and got a reponse: "Thank you for your comments. Kindly ask the sender to complete an enquiry form at the office of origin for an official investigation to be conducted as per the Universal Postal Union Regulator. Please accept our earnest apologies for the inconvenience. The branch manager will furnish the sender the details once the investigation has been concluded. Best regards, Customer services" To me, this sounds like they have absolutely no idea where the bike is. I have no reason to suspect the seller as he has received a number of positive reviews on the Hub and the SAPO have confirmed that the package was sent. I did ask the sender to ensure that the bike was ensured and I also have bicycle insurance as a part of my personal insurance. Has anyone had a similar experience and could provide some guidelines? Which part of this is my responsibility and which is the senders? How long do I wait before claiming? Is it my job to claim or the senders? Any help is appreciated.
  16. Your best bet is to order from sixfifty.com. Shipping to SA is around $60 and they usually have stock. You can source locally as well, most of the guys I spoke to are expecting stock in the next week or so. Locally, you can source the ZTR Crests and Flows.
  17. I believe that all Fox forks work with 27.5. Best you check on 650bpalace and not just take my word on it. Solomons currently have a brilliant deal on Fulcrum Red Metal 3's. I believe that the bearing service on these wheels are expensive, but they have been bomb proof through the last 2 years and still run good as new.
  18. A Monarch must be brilliant on that bike Might be a Rockshox fan
  19. That's why we would prefer a Fox
  20. Yup, the rear shock sucks. If it wasn't for the DT Swiss, it would WITHOUT DOUBT be the best bike on the market
  21. Thanks Horatio
  22. I'm with the V on this one. Rather build up a HT 29er over time and keep the full squish. You'll miss that couch on rides longer than 60k's
  23. Not made for ADD people at all
  24. I had the 130mm travel Stereo and LOVED it. Not ideal for XC racing, but for an all day in the saddle bike it was great
  25. The Momsen is a nice bike, but it's nowhere near as good looking as the Cube
