  1. Think of David yesterday! There was a howling easterly, gusting to 35km/h, along the Garden Route yesterday and David was riding into it! Strength brother. Nicer day today, hopefully you can make up some time.
  2. LC, I know Olffie1 is also looking for an Italian BB. But I think he's looking for the sealed bearing type. If you find more than 1, will you let him know?
  3. If it's a square taper, yes, it'll fit. But you need to check if your BB is a 36x24 (English) or 37x24 (Italian) cup fitting. There are lots of English square taper BBs available, but you pay for what you get in terms of quality.
  4. Conrad, I hope you remember you promised me two Alans, 1 road and 1 track. I'm still waiting!!!!
  5. Ja. Undoubtedly worth more than me even though I'm hansom!
  6. One lucky fella!
  7. hopefully another decent descent! edit: Actually I shouldn't have done this, I generally don't like spelling ot grammer freaks. I apologise, meant in a light hearted way.

  10. Heard an ad on the radio today saying ALL Dischem supplements are tested and gauranteed ok for sport. Apparently Dischem the only pharmacy that tests all the stuff it sells!
  11. I have never, never ever seen a ladies ALAN. This is an absolute first for me! What a beauty.
  12. Heysous, that is one sexy frame and my size too, by the looks of it. I am green.
  13. pictures and details would help!
  14. I'd try Battaglin again, even Battaglin USA.They were pretty good at answering my questions. About 20 or 30 pages back on this thread, the guys gave a list of interweb resource pages. Hunt through those too. Edit: If contacting Battaglin Italy, I found that if you use google translate, or one of the others, it helps.
  15. Two guys in the GT area you can contact here on the HUB: GLENZITO EVANB Contact either, I'm they'll help. Otherwise, in CA: RADBABY MODERNVINTAGE
  16. I take it none of you read NOSEWEEK? Now that;s depressing! Edit: Not just aimed at DS, but all those (like me) who no longer watch CB.
  17. From Sheldon Brown The wedging action of the expander plug of a quill stem multiplies the tension on the expander bolt. If the bolt is tightened to a torque which feels normal, the expander plug may bulge and permanently deform the fork steerer, possibly leading to failure of the steerer or to future insecure clamping of the stem. With an older stem which uses a truncated-cone (cork-shaped) expander plug, the stem cannot be safely tightened enough to make it impossible to turn the handlebar while clamping the front wheel between the legs. This looseness is unimportant for anything short of technical off-road riding. A stem with a wedge-shaped expander plug may be tightened further and secures the handlebar more tightly, but still can be overtightened.
  18. If it's for the Prestige or Super Prestige assume it's the AIR fork you need. If you're prepared to spend the dosh, you can get it in Europe for about £170!!! Very few show up on ebay, so good luck
  19. RudoJ, Seat post looks like a Campag. Worth repairing. If you decide not to, I have a new, round, no name brand 25.4, we can work out something. But, my advice would be to have it welded, it's thick enough, then add a sleeve inside. STRONGER THAN NEW.
  20. My weapon and my Samsung S4 in the background!!!. I probably need the Uzi
  21. As QB says, pics would help a lot. Depending on how bad it is, there are a number of options. 1. Softish brass brush on your drill. 2. Rub with tinfoil. 3. Brasso and cardboard. Whatever you use it's going to need some TLC.
  22. What is it that you are, or wanting to, sand???
  23. Show us pictures, we're all pervs!
  24. Just seen this on ebay, not sure if it's been posted before. $110,000.00 http://www.ebay.com/...utorefresh=true
