  1. My wife currently has x9 trigger shifters and after plenty problems and even a new one from SRAM we are thinking of changing to grip-shift, are there any real difference between the xo and the xx grip-shifters? Lastly do you know of any good prices going on in SA ? Thanks

  14. Hi ladies and gents Please share this with other riders from, George, Sedgefield, Oudtshoorn, Knysna ect All Southern Cape riders and riders here on holiday. Yesterday, 3 January 2013, Burry Stander, South African mountain bike hero and legend, Double ABSA Cape Epic winner, Olympian and Cross Country World Champion got knocked over by a taxi and was killed, while out training. Therefore a memorial ride has been organised for today, 4 January at 18h00. Venue: Unity Park (top of York Street). Please wear a black armband as well as lights on your bicycle. #RideForBurry #RideForSafety

  18. Thanks guys for the awesome event I can see Rob has put in huge effort to build this route. This can be classed as a real MTB race and not a roadie moutain bike race I am not sure about the amount of km's but it probably close to 10-15km of nice single track, sand , rocks and bridges-really awesome. Thanks also for the band, nice umbrellas to sit underneath , the good coffee, the snack there and the bike service and clean after the race. This makes it one step up from most races. The race was really expensive compared to other races and the marking of the route can be a bit better(trail and bike) With all the crossing it can become a little complicated and for example some faster riders were stopped to wait for slower riders, thats no good especially if you sit in the top ten. The trail runners also got lost and some of the stronger runners manage to came in a few places down because of wrong loops ect in the run Thats the only 2 negative thing of this race.. Otherwise AWESOME ,,, i see this one becomming a HUGE race in years to come Thanks for a great race
  19. Weather was perfect, and there was plenty riders Apparently there was also a few bad falls on those long downhills One woman broke her elbow in the fall and some light chest injuries ect it was more of a roadie race than a mountain bike race but still nice to do

  24. Doing it tomorrow, there is also an awesome single track x-country race earlier in the year. Entrance fee seems to be very steep for such a short race
