  1. Doing it tomorrow, there is also an awesome single track x-country race earlier in the year. Entrance fee seems to be very steep for such a short race
  2. Not sure about personality of the year But box of the year must be David George
  3. 30k's is nothing, rather complain about the expensive price for entries
  4. A few of us went for a 80km training ride, mostly on private land, It was boiling hot with the temp touching 40'C at one stage. Hope you all have a great holiday and you get plenty time to ride.
  5. 7. ek kyk eerder minder op tv as om dieselfde junk te kyk van some or other upcoming development rider At this stage i am pretty gatvol of seeing the poor previously disatvantiged rider on tv like in all the other sport Show me all the top racer and the normal guys like you and me dont bother with bee stuff

  12. some gents love the spez but some time ago there was no stock in the most of SA Seems like Spez SA doesnt really care about small things like these Ok gents no more Racing Ralphs for the wife, we try and race and it's not always possible to take the best lines, so far the maxis hasnt let me down, but i need to look at the Spez and the Conti tyres aswell if i can find stock Thanks for you help
  13. ...lol, i must have the worst lines, 3 races , 3 flats with my rocket rons then no more rocket rons, they just hanging in the garage, the dont like the karoo terain too much after that i had 7 months racing the maxi icon with no flats but it does feel like a slow tyre to me
  14. thanx gents, some mixed opinions on here so what i make out here is maxis grip are not too good and the racing ralph roll better I have maxis on my scale but sometimes it feels like its not the best rolling tyre but it's a very strong tyre Do any of you know the weight comparing the 2 ?
  15. i had that problems with the rocket rons but i had mates doing the epic and pioneer and they were happy with the RR no need to be snotty about it
  16. Gents i can make up my mind about these 2 tyre brands for a 29 er Is the ralp a better rolling tyre than the maxi and is it as strong? Also trying to keep the weight of the bike as low as possible It will be used on a hard tail and at a competitive level Thanks for your advice
  17. thanks for all the info, i got y wife the same bike and she will be putting on some American classis 29 race wheels, that should make a huge difference So far i am happy with my brakes It all cost money but with good components, you can drop alot on the seatpost i have also changed to a xx cranks with rotor blades Stadig maar sekerlik kom ons daar uit

  22. Do you guys know where my wife can get some size 36 shoes? I cant find any at CWC and also not too muck luck at CR The only brands that i can really see online is Mavick and Spez
  23. ag shame se >< he had a chance so he doped, now he is back racing and young kids read this and think it's OK to be cough out, serve a little sentence and it over Dis great wat jy doen Chris, hoop net die ander spanne staan saam met jou
  24. With all this negative doping stuff doing the rounds, i was thinking who in SA sport stand out for me I have to say although i never met Greg Minnaar he seems like a genuine guy and he has lots of titles too prove it.. Conrad Scoltz is someone i admire, a true racing champ with a lot of vasbyt and some great titles behind his name.. Then i have seen and met a great youngster in the Southern Cape, Teemo Cooper, check this guy out, he is young and with some professional training he will be one of the top mountain bikers in the next year or 2, if i am not mistaken he was in the top 3 recently doing the Pioneer Who's you ideal sport persons and what youngsters do you think we should be watching
