  3. Hi, I damaged my chain while pedalling the other eve on a night ride. The one link was slightly bent open and it affected my gearing at times, up and down. Chain would apear to jump now and then. May add, from your pic it does look like the bottom wheel runs inwards, not sure if the top wheel is inline and bottom slightly out how this would affect you’re gearing since there are some play between links that will allow to sort that issue a bit. In a case like that there will be some wear and tear, def not the ideal situation. I hope you sort it out.
  4. Found the Truativ Noir WC carbon bars was 20grms lighter than the Richey WCS in the same lenght and slightly cheaper at CWC.

  7. Valid point Kevin. We all do things to get the edge on the next rider, light bike, nutrition, shaving legs ect.. If you can afford it and its what floats your boat, go for it. Same apply to cars, cell phones, tabletts and all the other bling.
  8. I've got the bike, everything I expected.. I ride and enjoy it... You need the tissue holders. not adding weight.
  9. if I may ask. what does these bikes cost.? Mine is custom build. The Frame Weigh between 940 and 949 grams. I build it to be light, not quite where I wanted it. I was looking at a 8.2 but sitting at 8.8 Custom cost me all up 72k. Wheelset alone cost 24k. Whats your issue? Chap asked what we would change,? Dont make me out as a person that lies.
  10. Manufact by Rotor. Rotor cranks with Q rings. Oval type chain ring. Think they are similar to the old Bio Pace of Shimano the used back in 90's. Burry Stander, Kevin Evans and those chaps use them, worth to have alook at.
  11. Have you consider using Q ring?
  12. guess your you ride without seat post and seat... just to save the extra bit.... hoor dis goed vir opelyf.
  13. I had a Carbon Xtc weighing in at 9.5kg. Now my 29er is 8.8kg.. 29er rolls nice, but for some reason I was faster on my 26" uphill, and single track. 29er is well spec so was the 26. Take both for a spin. the one you comfy on, take that, and if its the 29er, you will upgrade parts as you go, slowly your bike will get lighter,(if you upgrade for lighter/better parts, and you get fitter..lol Def helps with the climb.
  14. Good for You. Mine was actually weight by lbs. And weighed again at other shop. same reading. If you know you components you have no doubt that this is well possible. The question is; how much you willing to pay. .

  21. Unless you Popeye the sailor, or will be by having to pick your bike up above you head.... no believe me its good. Bikes on the roof, I think skrews up ure feul consumtion more than behind the car. The again if have a boot spoiler like the old Ford XR8 it might be an issue...lol. The rack is fully ajustable, each leg can be setup in diffrent angle. I fitted mine tonight on my Audi A3, 3 min. I can still open my boot with my bike on it, but the my Bike weigh quite light.
