Buying new or second hand, think if you know bikes you can get more bang for your buck secondhand.

I would leave it, if you don’t know what you doing, it might just end up worse. Unless you can have it fixed/sprayed by a pro. I'm no pro at this, but maybe just a bit of clear nail lacquer to seal it ( don’t know the material of your frame, for corrosion sake). My 2c worth. Nice frame .. .

I cycle from Durbanville to Observatory 3x a week with my mtb. Today real crappy. Hectic wind. Cape doctor at its best. Problem is 28km there's no shower.... end up like a mine worker.... ( anti mine worker spray, working overtime)

Hi, have a set of those, Hirzl Grippp Full vinger, Leather, when they wet the gripp increases.. the ones without padding. Awesome. ..... Btw.. where do you get them for R400??

Use full finger(you will get use to it after the second ride) just incase you get off, hand some how hit the gravel first. Just like my fingers as they are... with nails and skin. With less padding I find is comfortable, have decent gips on the bar. My 2c worth.

Worth saving the weight.... If not, y not.. I bought A Scott RC 29 frame from WE Bike (speak to Willie). Priced ok. Just managed to finished building it. All up weight inclu pedals - 8.9kg. I could take another 300grm off.... Nice bike. Frame - RC 29 Pro Fork - Spec 29 Brain Wheels - Tune hubs, Tune skewers Sapn spokes, Enve clencher rims and Spec Renagade tyres. R1 brakes with carbon leaver kit XX cluster, XX shifters, XX rear and front derail, Rotor BB92 Press Fit crank Xtr pedals Richy Matrix 110mm stem, Rich WCS Carbon Post, Truv Noir Carbon Flat Bar. Carbon Frame gives a good ride, still needs bit of bike setup to be done. :clap:
