  4. Move on Vodoo....
  5. I think what ever you do to remove it, Heat the hub with a heat gun, will assist removing the stud/bolt. I do this when removing bearings from hubs and from model engines. Believe me it works.
  6. Gans baaiers are making serious effort for this race.. That route just looks nah.... Thanks you Gansies
  7. Depends how the traffic in Hermanus is. Have to drive slower as from Hawston, 90 odd km/h coming down to 80 and 60km/h from Sandbaai through Hermanus. Consider going through Caledon, travel towards Bredasdorp, take Standford turnoff. Just have to slowdown before Caledon and in town.
  8. Just said that as a joke... Lotta monkeys out there working on stuff....
  9. I’m staying with folks in Mosselbay and we will drive there on Race day. Dad will get me in Knysna which is if I make it... Crash out ect... It’s all in your preparation...
  10. Sorry, what mererial do you use TI? Weight?
  11. To answer Your question.. How good is Egg beaters?? Not nearly as good as Look Quarts, or the Shimano SPD/XT/XTR pedal. (For MTB) The Eggbeater pedal to my experience is fine if you weigh up to 80Kg. I was at 85 kg, and found that the spring/tensioner on the pedal lost its ability to keep shoes cleated. Then the other concern was the inner side bearing, which is a Nylon bush, just didn’t do it for me. I moved over to XTR 980's and also ride the Look Quarts Cheapies R700-R800 ones and have a set of the Carbon TI's Shimano - Def more robust, service spares more freely avail, even find it in Put Zonder Water.. (Tension adjustable) Look- Could be seem as the lighter option to Shimano. (Non tension adjustable) Eggbeater- ok if you under 80 Kg. (non tension adjustable) Other Brands I'm dont know of. Just my experience.
  12. Don’t want to start a political debate here, and just maybe I have it wrong here, but somehow .... Never mind the somehow.. I agree with you 110% Why is it that the few must support the many? Open your eyes !
  13. Dunno.... cause haven't seen better...lol.. Relax ... just a saying... Everything is the best untill you get something better... with everything in life.
  14. ....only because you dont know of better.... lol...
  15. ..maybe you pedal to hard...
  16. Try the Rudy Project Noyz. Ideal for the smaller (narrow) face. My wife is quite small, she wears it like a glove. I had 4 pairs of Adidas. Evel eyes ect.. wont go there again. I stick to Oakley's and Rudy's my 2c.
  17. I think a gift voucher is the most crappy gift to give or to receive. That ties you to buy item at that retailer, if you going to buy a R250 gift voucher, you can give R250 cash, where they can spend it where they want on what they want. Cash is King
  18. Spin then a soppy story. You can take it back, say to them it an unwanted gift (something you bought on you card for someone else.), they most probably give you a gift voucher back for it. They will do it, as long they dont have to give cash back, you will spend the voucher it SW. Then have a look at what else you want and compare at other shops, take from them the item where you will lose the least value.
  19. if you go uphill its the weight that holds you back. keep everything light as possible.. cut your toe nails if that will make a diffrence in your weight. ya I think a lighter rim would be better. wanna go faster, think about Rolling resistance.. now we talking. tyre pattern, tyre pressure comes into play. and if you really wanna go fast .. train more often and harder. my 2c worth.
  20. Why is it when you talk about a component that is very light, the word weak comes to mind? Im 95kg's at the monent. I'm ridding on Tune hubs, some of the lightest hubs avail. they are 5 years old, serious xc. running like the are new. I had them on my 26 and when I had my 29er build used the in my newly build wheels set. done another 1500km now on them with new bike xc. Run as they are new. This thing of light equipment is weak is B/S. You find that the most lighter equipment is manufactured from a higher standard material.
  21. South Africa.... Leeu wereld....
  22. Nice one..
  23. Good point, i would take them off clean then out and leave then uninflated. Only a problem if you planning to cycle from airport to where ever you going to stay. Do some planning, find out where you can drop it off on way to you place of stay to have it topped up and inflated/bombed. Call them, maybe do it while you wait, it’s all in the planning. Or do it the following day.(this if you cant do it yourself) This should be a head ache. All the best for your stay in Ctn.
  24. services at Lbs are more ore less R200 to R500 if seals needs to be replaced on the Rock shox.
